The National is back with a new album!
The band, which includes noted Taylor Swift collaborator Aaron Dessner, made a big announcement on Wednesday, which includes details about their upcoming LP and tour! The National was formed in the late Nineties and released its first album in 2001.
The National took to their social media accounts to not only reveal details about their upcoming LP and tour but also announce the new lyric video for their single, "Tropic Morning News."
The National has enlisted a number of big names to usher in their "First Two Pages Of Frankenstein" era for both song collaborations and stage partners, of which they share in their announcement for "Tropic Morning News."

Yes, Ms. Swift Is Involved With The National's New Album!
The National's Aaron Dessner has famously collaborated with Swift a number of times. Dessner was heavily involved in Swift's career-defining albums "folklore" and "evermore," and Swift also collaborated with Big Red Machine in 2021. Big Red Machine is Dessner's project with Bon Iver's Justin Vernon. The National also backed Swift on the "evermore" track, "coney island."
The 33-year-old "Anti-Hero" singer took to her Instagram story on Wednesday to celebrate The National's big announcement!
"AHHHHH NEW NATIONAL ALBUM LET'S GOOOOO," Swift writes, "AND SUFJAN AND PHOEBE," she says, referring to Sufjan Stevens and Phoebe Bridgers. Bridgers' supergroup Boygenius also announced their new album on Wednesday.
Swift goes on to tag the trio and writes "EXTRA BIG HUG TO FOLKLORIAN KING @AARONDESSNER" at the end of her post.

The band's latest Instagram post details more info about their latest single "Tropic Morning News."
In addition to news of a lyric video for "Tropic Morning News," the band drops a few notable names they will be touring with this year! Those names include Soccer Mommy, who released their latest album "Sometimes Forever" last year.
"We are embarking on a world tour this year in support of our new album," the band begins in the post, "@soccermommyband, @thebeths and @bartees_strange will be joining us. @thisispattismith and her Band will be joining us for one special night in New York City at the iconic Madison Square Garden..."
The band is referring to legendary punk poet Patti Smith, who recently released her latest book, "A Book Of Days."
The National also took to Instagram to post about their upcoming LP and revealed more details about the 11 track album. Swift will be featured on the seventh track "The Alcott." Bridgers makes an appearance on the fourth and tenth tracks, "This Isn't Helping" and "Your Mind Is Not Your Friend."
Stevens will be featured on the LP's first track "Once Upon A Poolside."
The band's post goes on to detail the number of ways fans will be able to enjoy the album on vinyl. In addition to standard black vinyl, the album will be available on "indie exclusive opaque red vinyl" as well as on white vinyl. Listeners will also be able to buy the album on CD.
"First Two Pages Of Frankenstein" will be released on April 28th!
