Salma Hayek was out to "party like it's 1999" ahead of the weekend, but viewers to the actress' jaw-dropping snaps are now talking about one thing – her weight. The 54-year-old actress was in full throwback mode for her Friday Instagram update, letting her 16.4 million followers in on both her killer look back in the day and her love of music icon Prince. Salma, known for having some of the fiercest curves in Hollywood, now sees her followers deeming her way too skinny. Check it out below.

Scroll for the photos. They come as Salma makes regular food headlines, although it's been more fruit than cakes as the "Like A Boss" actress this year both showed off her fabulous figs (that she grew herself) and, more recently, her Napa Valley vineyard's grapes.
The photos, stunning, showed Hayek back in the day and dressed in a full '90s getup. The Mexican, seen flaunting her rock-hard abs in a braless, shimmery silver crop top and skirt, shared two images. Her caption nailed it.

Keep scrolling for the photos, including Salma's killer bikini body. The caption, shouting out "1999" hit from Prince, read:
"Cause tonight I’m gonna party like it’s 1999 ? ? ?

The most-liked comments are now skinny-shaming the curvy star – "¡¡¡¡¡¡¡Too too skinny........!!!!!!!!!" kicked it off, with the reply receiving likes. However, the scrutiny has sparked a storm, with Salma's followers swooping in to defend her.
"She is perfection at any size, who tf are you to criticize," one fan replied. More after the snaps.

The back-up came in fast
"Totally agree with you," one fan wrote, backing the user slamming the OP: "It is wrong to shame anybody who is overweight or underweight," they added.
"Being called “too” skinny is just as insulting as being called TOO FAT," another clapped back.
"Smh, the body shaming never stops," a third sighed. Salma, who does not apologize for her curves, has, however, in the past admitted that she'd rather some of her curves went inwards, not outwards. Scroll for what the big boss herself has had to say.

Speaking to The Edit back when she was 50, Salma said: “I’m not going to lie to you, I would like the curve to go in instead of out in some places, but I love a little curve."
“I love the word ‘curvy’; it’s artistic,” she added, continuing: “A straight line can be boring.”
The "Frida" star also had a unique word for her hourglass silhouette, saying: "I don't fit into any of the stereotypes of a woman that should continue to work."
