American rapper and songwriter Cardi B has opened up about the state of her marriage to Migos member, Offset, claiming that he changed for her after she filed for a divorce in 2020.

The "Bodak Yellow" singer filed for divorce in 2020, stating that their union was "irretrievably broken" and that "there are no prospects for a reconciliation."

The couple first sparked romance rumors in 2017 and married secretly in September of that same year. Offset was accused of adultery when Cardi B announced their divorce, but she now believes he has changed his ways.

The "Wap" crooner revealed during a guest appearance on the first episode of "The Jason Lee Show" that her husband had changed since she requested a divorce nearly three years ago.

"Me and Offset, we were not seeing eye-to-eye," she said, adding, "This was like, the same year I filed for divorce and everything."

"I'm gonna let him talk about this because the main thing that was really bothering me, I'ma let him say it," She said per Insider. "I want him to say it because I feel like that's really part of his story."

"The main thing that I wanted him to stop and everything, he stopped and he changed, and it showed me that he wanted to change for me," Cardi B added.

The "Hustlers" actress filed for divorce, claiming the Migos rapper had been unfaithful. According to People magazine, Cardi B confirmed that the rumors of his infidelity at the time were accurate.

"No, it's not right for a [n***a] to cheat… But what do you want me to do?" she wrote. "Go f**k me another n***a? Start all over again and get cheated on again? This sh** happens to everyone and I be too, you too…People handle their relationships differently, soo."

After discovering that Offset had cheated once more, Cardi B filed for divorce in Atlanta. She claimed their marriage was "irretrievably broken" and "there are no prospects for reconciliation."

She Filed For Divorce To Teach Offset A Lesson

Cardi B expressed her "happiness" at how she and Offset overcame some of their "most difficult challenges" during an E! Daily Pop interview.

"We went through some challenges. You have to learn [about] each other better," she said. "I feel like I've never been happier." The rapper added, "I feel like, not even with just with marriage, but our family and unity, the friendship that we have. The 'I have your back, you have my back.' It's never been stronger."

As reported by to People, Cardi B claimed to have filed for divorce to teach him a "f**king lesson."

"If I want to go to an extreme to teach a n***g a f**king lesson and f**king file for divorce, I could do that," she said. "It's my life. I'm not getting no f**king abuse."

"If we work things out, we sit down and work things out and I tell a n***a what I don't like and what I want to change when he tells me what he wants me to change, what he wants me to stop doing," the "Be Careful" rapper added.

Cardi B Recently Called Out 'Ridiculous' Grocery Prices

The rapper has recently been active on Twitter, repeatedly expressing her displeasure with rising food and grocery prices. The 30-year-old rapper tweeted, "Naaaaaaa grocery shopping prices are ridiculous right now. You might as well eat outside!!"

"Bitch, why does lettuce cost $6 where I live?" she asked in a second tweet.

A fan criticized the singer, saying she should stop complaining because she was "rich as hell." Cardi B responded by stating in a video that speaking with her large platform might help other people who aren't as rich as her.

"Lettuce was like $2 a couple of months ago, now it's like f**king $7... of course, I'm gonna say something," she said.

"If I think that shit is crazy, I could only imagine what middle-class people or people in the hood are motherf**kin' thinking, so yes, I'm going to say something."

The rapper continued, "And I have a big platform, so I do want anyone that's responsible for these f**king prices to put that sh*t the f**k down. They gon' see my sh*t they might put it down. So shut the f**k up."
