The Bravo executive got candid on a cab ride home in NYC. He needed to clarify that he isn't an advocate for Jen Shah because the optics of that are not good. “I got a lot of comments yesterday about the Chris Wallace interview,” he opened his IG live. “I just want to clarify the context of what I said.”

Cohen went on to explain further. “I was saying it in response to people wanting to know if she was going to be back on the show. … I knew that there had to be some context, and I should’ve asked him what it was.”

Andy Cohen Is Serious About His Truth

Cohen wanted to make sure that his followers know he is not an advocate for Shah and her criminal antics so after the Live, he posted a follow-up screenshot of a quote he said to Us Weekly back in November 2022.

“She’s being sentenced on December 15, so I don’t know what to say to people who want her on the show,” he told Us Weekly. Cohen went on to say, “I hope that she gets no jail time whatsoever and she can come right back … but I have a feeling that she’s not going to be available to be on the show.”

The CNN anchor went hard on Andy when he asked him about Jen and her recent sentencing to 6.5 years in jail for wire fraud. He wanted to know why Andy was so willing to support Jen and even go as far as to say he doesn’t want her to go to jail.

Cohen insisted that something was amiss and he doesn’t believe he would be that much on Jen’s side. At that moment, he attempted to backtrack his comments. “You know, sometimes, if you get to know someone and you get to like them, you hope that they are not guilty of something horrible.”

Cohen and his lack of opinion on Jen and her fraud case initially rubbed the fans of the series the wrong way especially seeing as this season of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City has been a little disappointing for fans.

Bravo is yet to release an official statement on Jen’s arrest and the subsequent chain of events that took place. They have, according to Jen’s Instagram post, asked her not to appear at the reunion if she is unable to speak about her personal dramas.

At BravoCon in October, Cohen did share that Jen’s time with Bravo has come to an “end” when she entered a last-minute guilty plea after spending over a year claiming she was innocent.
