Jeff Bridges at the Critics Choice Awards 2023 - Pressroom

On Sunday night, the 28th annual Critics Choice Awards were handed out in Los Angeles. “Everything Everywhere All At Once” had led the ceremony with a staggering fourteen nominations and ended up with five awards, including one for Best Picture.

At this ceremony, actor Jeff Bridges was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award, which was given to him by his “The Big Lebowski” costar John Goodman. Actress Kate Hudson also presented the SeeHer Award to Janelle Monáe.

Unfortunately, several notable names had to back out of the ceremony due to a positive COVID-19 test. Jamie Lee Curtis, Jean Smart, and “The Banshees of Inisherin” stars Brendan Gleeson and Colin Farrell were prevented from attending the ceremony, hosted at Fairmount Century Plaza.
