According to People, Robach and her former partner were photographed meeting up on Thursday on the streets of New York City.
Both were dressed casually for the occasion. Robach donned a thick brown sweater with matching wedge shoes and jean trousers. Meanwhile, Shue wore an inner zip-up shirt, a bomber jacket, and joggers, matching them with running shoes.
The images revealed that the meet-up was done for Robach to hand off the family dog to Shue, as it appears that the pair are still jointly handling the affairs of their pet.
The photos show Shue standing a few feet away from his ex-partner while holding the leash of the small dog as they converse outside on the sidewalk.
While the subject of their conversation remains unknown, the two kept a straight face throughout the length of the dialogue, which lasted for more than a few minutes.
Amy Robach And T.J. Holmes Were Separated From Their Spouses Before The Affair
Robach and Shue's meeting comes after their private lives turned into tabloid fodder in the aftermath of the TV anchor's romance with her coworker T.J. Holmes.
Robach and Holmes were subsequently suspended from their duties with the ABC network, and other anchors have filled their positions as "Good Morning America" cohosts in the interim.
At the height of their romance going viral, the pair received heavy backlash for being legally married to different partners at the time.
However, a source for People magazine revealed that the embattled duo had separated from their spouses in August before they started their affair. Holmes' wife, Marilee Fiebig, has since officially filed for divorce to end her marriage to the news anchor.
"This was two consenting adults who were each separated. They both broke up with their spouses in August within weeks of each other," the insider disclosed to the publication about Roback and Holmes' affair. "The relationship didn't start until after that."
The 'GMA3' Co-Workers 'Are in Love'
Despite the backlash Robach and Holmes have received, the couple is reportedly in love and has no plans to end their romance.
The pair have been seen enjoying intimate moments together, including strolling along the beach and going to a convenience shop. A source shared with People that Robach and Holmes spend the holidays together, building their bond even more.
"They spent the holidays together and are spending all of their time together right now." The source further revealed that "They are fully in a relationship. They are not hiding anything at all because they have no reason to."
Amy Robach And T.J. Holmes Future With ABC
Regarding Robach and Holmes's future with the network, the showrunners are waiting for the dust to settle and do not expect the duo to be fired.
"There's no grounds to fire them on, and they believe they won't be fired," an insider said, per People. "The network is just waiting for things to cool down. This happens at companies all the time."
Another source said that any final decision on their future would be known after ABC had concluded its internal investigation into the couple's conduct.
"There are no negotiations about their future," the insider disclosed. "ABC is completing their investigation."
They concluded: "While it is unlikely they will return in the capacity they were in — the longer time goes on, it becomes less likely they will return — there are still open lines of communication, and further discussions are being had about what will happen."
As reported by The Blast, ABC might already have a permanent replacement for Holmes, and now, it comes down to the outcome of the network's investigation.
