Damar Hamlin FINALLY Home, Discharged From Buffalo Hospital Following Cardiac Arrest

Days after suffering a cardiac arrest mid-game, NFL star Damar Hamlin has been discharged from the hospital. The star suffered a cardiac arrest on January 2 during a Buffalo Bills game with Cincinnati Bengals. Medical personnel attended to Hamlin on the field, after which he was rushed to a hospital.
Although Hamlin had to be resuscitated twice, the first time on the field and the second in the hospital, the NFL player was declared to be in stable condition not long after. Hamlin also posted on social media a few days ago to reassure fans that he was doing well and thank them for their outpouring of love and support.

Damar Hamlin Discharged From Second Hospital
The Buffalo Bills just announced that Hamlin had been discharged from the Buffalo General hospital after his health scare. The star will continue his recovery at home with his family. Hamlin had been on bed rest in the hospital since the Monday Night Football game with the Bengals over a week ago.
"Damar Hamlin has been discharged from Buffalo General Medical Center/Gates Vascular Institute, a Kaleida Health facility in Buffalo, NY," The Bills statement read per Daily Mail. "Hamlin was admitted on Monday and went through a comprehensive medical evaluation as well as a series of cardiac, neurological, and vascular testing on Tuesday."
The Bills' news release also quoted a message from Dr. Jamie Nadler, which revealed that several tests and evaluations had been conducted on the NFL player prior to the decision. "We have completed a series of tests and evaluation, and in consultation with the team physicians, we are confident that Damar can be safely discharged," Nadler said.
He Gave Fans An Update On His Health
On Tuesday afternoon, Hamlin shed light on his progress in a tweet. He revealed that he was yet to be discharged and was still undergoing several required medical tests. He wrote, "Not home quite just yet. Still doing and passing a bunch of tests. Special thank you to Buffalo General; it's been nothing but love since arrival! Keep me in y'all prayers, please! #3strong.”
Hamlin was transferred to the Buffalo General Medical Center recently from the University of Cincinnati Medical Center after spending last week in the former. The doctors stated that the NFL star had witnessed a "remarkable recovery."
Hamlin also revealed that he was leaving the facility with "a lot of love on my heart." He continued, "Watching the world come together around me on Sunday was truly an amazing feeling. The same love you all have shown me is the same love that I plan to put back into the world n more. Bigger than football!"
Damar Hamlin T-shirts Proceeds Will Go To UC Medical Center
In a post, Hamlin referenced the "awesome care" given to him by the staff of the UC Medical Center and thanked them for making him comfortable. He wrote, "Grateful for the awesome care I received at UCMC. Happy to be back in Buffalo. The docs and nurses at Buffalo General have already made me feel at home!"
In appreciation, the NFL star has launched a t-shirt series where the proceeds will be given to the UC Medical Center. The shirts all have "Did we win?" emblazoned on them, quoting Hamlin's first words when he regained consciousness after the cardiac arrest.
"We all won. I want to give back an ounce of the love y'all showed me. Proceeds of this shirt will go to first responders and the UC Trauma Center. Go get yours!" he announced on social media. Hamlin has a history of giving back and previously organized charity toy drives that helped raise money for his local community.
Damar Hamlin Suffered A Cardiac Arrest On Monday
Hamlin's cardiac arrest on January 2 occurred after the Buffalo Bills safety tackled Tee Higgins, the opposing team's receiver. When he got up from his tackle, he stayed up briefly before falling back to the ground. Members of the Bills' training staff attended to him and attempted to resuscitate him on the field.
Hamlin was announced to be in critical condition after; however, his condition improved to stable before it was revealed that he had gained consciousness. The NFL game, on the other hand, was first suspended and then postponed before being canceled outright.
The NFL star took to social media a few days ago to thank fans for their show of love and support while he was in the hospital.
