“Real Housewives of Orange County” star Kelly Dodd can’t keep her story straight amid growing controversy after she mocked the Black Lives Matter movement.

Kelly posted a statement to her social media regarding her wearing a hat that read “Drunk Wives Matter” at her bridal shower.

The “RHOC” star wrote, “Over the weekend at my bridal shower I got lots of gifts and briefly displayed them. One was a hat with a play on words since I’m about to be a wife, I’m on a Housewives TV show and might be drunk once in a while. It was not intended to offend or make any kind of statement. Of course, I support black lives and racial equality.”

In the statement, Kelly says the hat was a gift that she received at her bridal shower this weekend. Minutes later, Kelly told a different story when responding to a fan’s comment on the photo.

The fan wrote, “I’m dying that saying has been around long before BLM was. I remember friends coming back from formals in Nola or spring break in PCB with shirt or hats saying that back in 2012.”

Kelly replied, “I told Bravo that hat was made 2 years ago…” The “RHOC” star changed her story in a matter of minutes now saying the hat was 2 years old.

Interesting to note, it appears Bravo has been in contact with Kelly regarding the situation despite the network being quiet. Fans have been calling out Andy Cohen for allowing Kelly's behavior and for giving her a platform to spew hate.

As The Blast previously reported, the bridal shower photo immediately caused an uproar with many believing it was insensitive to the BLM message. None of the attendees, including other “Real Housewives of Orange County” stars and Kelly’s fiancé/Fox News correspondent Rick Leventhal, seemed to mind the hat’s message.

Kelly reposted a fan’s post calling for a boycott of “Real Housewives of Orange County.” She wrote, “These are the whack jobs after me !! I am a Mexican and my husband to be @rickleventhal is a Jew!! It says “WIVES”? #dumbass.”

“Really @RHOC_KellyDodd ??? "Drunk Lives Matter". You are disgusting. Black ppl are murdered bc of their skin color & you turn it into a joke?? You don't need anymore exposure on TV. You need to crawl back under the bridge with all your racists friends.,” said one fan.

One wrote, “If Bravo “listened to fans” when they said Teddi was boring, & fired her, who’s ignoring everyone’s complaints about Kelly Dodd? She’s been completely insufferable for months now. Cancel the whole damn season. Take away her salary. She’s a monster, & y’all are silent. #RHOC.”

Another warned, “Is that what you stand for, @BravoTV @Andy ? I’m so done watching #RHOC. The fact that your network continues to give this racist pos @RHOC_KellyDodd a platform is disgusting. Do better.”

“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Porsha Williams called out Kelly by reposting the hat photo on her Instagram story.
