Olivia Wilde Shares Cryptic Post About Dying Without Being Loved After Breakup

Olivia Wilde may have opened up about her fears about her love life shortly after her breakup with Harry Styles.

The “Don’t Worry Darling” producer and lead actor began dating in January 2021. They met while filming the iconic movie. However, the couple separated amicably in November last year.

Nearly three months after the lovebirds parted ways, the 38-year-old actress may have just opened up about her current feelings.

Fans would recall that the “Julia” actress had previously been in other relationships, one with Tao Rusupoli and another with Jason Sudeikis, whom she shares two kids with. Having been in these relationships, the actress must have had a taste of love, and now, she seems to be opening up about wanting to be loved again.

The film director reposted an image from Metrograph's official Instagram account on her own Instagram stories, which presumably mirrored her opinions. The picture was a dark picture of two lovers in the woods cropped from the Thai film “Tropical Malady.” 

Alongside the image were the words, “I’d hate to die without having loved.” This update could be a hint that the New Yorker is open to another love affair. 

While the filmmaker’s message on love might be pretty unclear, she seems to be taking the breakup from the British singer just fine. Shortly after their split, she was seen living her best life on a vacation with her best friend, Babs Burchfield. Per The Blast, the “House” actress took to Instagram to flaunt her happy moments on her vacation, captioning them “Best.” 

In the photos the mom of two posted, she looked stunning in a bandeau-like bikini top that teased her cleavage. She opted to look makeup free, and her long ginger hair was let loose. On the other hand, Burchfield rocked a green bikini pairing the outfit with a stylish beach hat. 

Wilde looked happy as the picture captured her laughing heartily, apparently enjoying the fun moment. The “Booksmart” director continued to share more snaps on her Instagram stories, and one showed her slender bikini body as she played in the water at sunset. 

“Mahalo,” the New York native captioned the post. And sticking to her private nature, Wilde didn’t disclose the vacation destination.

As mentioned earlier, the co-stars of “Don’t Worry Darling,” who were romantically linked decided to call it quits after almost two years. As previously reported, the “Tron Legacy” actress was disappointed about the breakup as she thought they could have made it work. 

An insider revealed bits of the couple’s separation, saying that the breakup has been challenging for Wilde. 

“They have had some issues, but Olivia thought they were gonna work through it all. She is disappointed. It’s just a tricky situation, though,” the source divulged. 

Still, on the issue of the breakup, another source close to the former lovers said that the duo “have different priorities that are keeping them apart,” and this affected the chances of the relationship lasting longer.

Even though the pair are no longer an item, they continue to remain friends, and this was evident as the 38-year-old mom and her two kids were seen having the time of their lives at Styles’ concert. The support from Wilde proved true to an additional revelation that said the split was a “very amicable decision” from Wilde and Styles.

For the duration of the British singer and the movie director’s romantic relationship, they faced several controversies. One such dispute was Wilde and her ex-husband Sudeikis' custody battle over the kids they both share. 

Another such drama was the acclaimed misunderstanding between the “Don’t Worry, Darling” director and the film’s leading actress, Florence Pugh. Several people speculated that it resulted from Wildes’ relationship with the One Direction alum.

At that time, the film’s team cleared the rumors while speaking to a news outlet. They disclosed, “Any allegations about unprofessional behavior on the set of 'Don’t Worry Darling' are completely false.”
