Jeremy Renner's healing progress is thrilling his family!

The actor had shocked his loved ones after he sustained critical injuries from a weather-related accident during the holidays. It turned out that he was trying to clear snow from a private driveway near his Lake Tahoe, California home so his family, whom he had spent the holidays with, could leave when the 14,330-pound snow plow he was using crushed him. The incident resulted in a call being placed to 911 and the actor undergoing surgery to save his life.

Jeremy Renner's Fast Healing Progress Is Good News For His Family And Fans Worldwide

Nearly two weeks after Jeremy's accident, his family has remained by his side, with his sister Kym providing an update on his progress since he was taken to the intensive care accident ward on New Year's Day. Speaking about the latest development, Kym expressed:

"We are so thrilled with his progress. If anyone knows Jeremy, he is a fighter and doesn't mess around. He is crushing all of the progress goals. We couldn't feel more positive about the road ahead."

You would recall that the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) star had to be airlifted to a hospital, where he underwent two surgeries. While one surgery allowed professionals to place metal pins around his legs, the second was a chest surgery to fix the collapse of the area's right side and the crushing of his upper torso.

Within the first few hours of the incident becoming public news, a rep for the "Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters" star stated, "We can confirm Jeremy is in critical but stable condition with injuries suffered after experiencing a weather-related accident while plowing snow earlier today."

The Blast noted that Jeremy's spokesperson added that he was with his family and was "receiving excellent care" at that point. Fans are looking forward to him making a full recovery so he can return to the screens.

The 52-year-old had previously made viewers grip the edge of their chairs with his performance as Hawkeye — otherwise known as Clinton Barton — in its eponymous miniseries and other films in the MCU franchise.

The Oscar Awards Nominee Enjoyed A 'Spa Day' During His Hospital Admission

The Blast reported that the "American Hustle" actor shared another proof of his progress a few days ago on social media. He had taken to his Story to drop footage of his sister giving him a head rub while their mother observed from close quarters.

"You're so sexy," the actor's sister playfully said as she dutifully ran her fingers through his hair in an attempt to shampoo it. Retorting, the "Dahmer" star teased that he had not had a bath in a "week or so."

His mother and sister's move seemed to be an "ICU SPA MOMENT TO LIFT MY SPIRIT," according to Jeremy's caption. It did not go unnoticed, as the actor added, "Thank you, mama, Thank you, sister, Thank you for your love."

Washoe County's Sheriff Darin Balaam has since dismissed any suspicion of foul play and claims of Jeremy being wounded at the time of the incident. The sheriff added that neighbors of the "Kill the Messenger" star "came out with towels" and gave him first aid, even though none of them was a doctor.
