According to Forbes, LeBron James closed on his third property in Los Angeles -- and paid $36.75 million for the pad -- slightly under the $39 million listing price.

This legendary Hollywood estate was once owned by Howard Hughes who reportedly leased the mansion to his one-time girlfriend Katharine Hepburn. Oh ya, so the mansion also comes with its very own 'screening room' which is the size of a movie theater.

The monster property has four bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and even has TWO guesthouses!

The more impressive part of this property is that it sits on 2.5 acres of land (a huge amount in L.A.) and has its very own tennis court.

Interestingly, the location is so spectacular, the word is Lebron may tear down he ENTIRE thing and build a mega-mansion in its place. Maybe a four-bedroom isn't enough!

BTW -- LeBron James isn't moving into the home right away, because he is still living in the NBA 'Bubble' and the Lakers are about to start a 7-game Final's series.

It should be noted, LeBron James is becoming quite the land baron in Los Angeles, after he already purchased two massive properties in Brentwood.

We shouldn't be worried about LJ's spending habits, the guy pulls in an estimated $37 Million a year in JUST his L.A. Lakers contract -- which doesn't include his endorsement deals. So ya, he can afford it!

As we said, Lebron purchased the home from the estate of Lee Phillip Bell, who passed away earlier this year at the age of 91,

Good luck tonight, GO LAKERS!
