Heather Rae & Tarek El Moussa are the latest parents in town!
The reality couple broke the ecstatic news of their son's arrival via social media to the delight of fans. The duo first shared the news of their pregnancy in July while trying to kickstart their IVF journey.
Throughout her journey, Heather has been more than open with her beloved fans about every stage, including the ups and downs of pregnancy, such as her severe sciatica.
Heather Rae & Tarek El Moussa Welcome Baby Boy
In a joint Instagram post, the newest parents in town announced that their baby boy arrived on January 31. A heartwarming photo of Heather and Tarek cradling their newborn, whose face was cut off, was uploaded.
The doting parents wrapped their hands protectively against the little one, who was swaddled in a colorful blanket. "Our baby boy is here 🤍 1.31.23," Tarek announced. "Mama & baby are happy, healthy, tired but doing well. Our hearts are so happy ❤️."
The couple is yet to share more details about their son's name but fans are more than thrilled about the good news. One fan gushed, "Congratulations!! I knew you were off getting this guy here!! Love to you all!!" Another declared, "Oh my God you guys, God. bless! No matter how many times you see a child being born it is always going amazing!❤️❤️❤️❤️"
As The Blast reported, Heather and Tarek first shared the news of their pregnancy a month after they had celebrated their six-month wedding anniversary. The lovebirds revealed that their pregnancy came naturally, which was a major shock for them as they were set to undergo embryo implant next fall as part of their IVF treatment.
"It was a huge shock. We just weren’t expecting this. We had just gone through IVF. We had embryos on ice. We had a plan," the "Selling Sunset" stated. It was even more of a surprise for the couple as they didn't have plans to have kids of their own when they started dating.
According to Heather, "When we first started dating three years ago, we went into our relationship not planning on having children together. I really love being a bonus mom to Taylor and Brayden." However, seeing her realtor husband being the best father to his kids, Heather was more than inspired.
As for how the duo discovered they were going to be parents soon, the "Flip or Flop" star divulged that it happened while filming their new HGTV show, "The Flipping El Moussas." Tarek recalled getting a nudging during a Zoom meeting and then asking his wife to take a pregnancy test.
In his words, "I just had this weird feeling, and I was like, she needs to take a pregnancy test right away." Heather revealed that the first two PT tests were "undetected," but on the third try, they received the miraculous news.
Heather Endured Severe Sciatica During Her Pregnancy
Weeks after sharing their pregnancy news, the duo blessed fans with their gender reveal, announcing that they were welcoming a baby boy! Heather and Tarek posted a heartfelt video of themselves with Tarek’s kids and another female standing in front of a placard with “boy” or “girl” written in golden letters.
After a countdown by the excited crowd, the soon-to-be parents popped tubes to unveil a confetti shower of blue feathers, confirming that they were having a boy. In November, the former Playboy Playmate of the Month had a regal and luxurious Winter Wonderland-themed baby shower surrounded by family, friends, and loved ones.
Alongside the good, exciting news of her pregnancy journey, Heather was also candid about her bad times, such as her sciatic pain. As reported, in early November, the 35-year-old first shared details of her back pain, which resulted in her trying physical therapy and acupuncture.
Unfortunately, nothing helped alleviate the pain. Getting candid, she revealed, "It seems like from all my moms I speak to, and a lot did not help until baby came out. So, hoping that’s not the case ’cause it’s painful. I’ve never experienced anything like this before, but I’m hoping all these treatments I’m doing are gonna, at least, release some of the pain."
In a follow-up update, the "Selling Sunset" star admitted that her pain had worsened, writing on social media, "Update on baby: I am dealing with such severe sciatica. It’s worse than ever today. It’s been about two and a half weeks, and today, it’s just almost unbearable for me."
The mother-of-one revealed that she could barely walk and was still looking for solutions to help her deal with the intense pain. While she was able to alleviate the pain for while, Heather confirmed it returned in late December, weeks away from her due date.
