Prince William Reportedly ‘Seething’ Over Prince Harry’s Memoir Revelations

Weeks after releasing his Netflix documentary with his wife Meghan Markle, excerpts of Prince Harry's memoir Spare have made their way to the public, and a number of people are unhappy about its content. "Harry & Meghan" was released in early December and detailed the life of the famous couple as a part of the royal family and after they broke away.

Harry also made several accusations against his brother, Prince William, in the documentary, claiming that he screamed at him after finding out that he wanted to resign as a senior Royal in 2020.

The Duke of Sussex's Spare is set to be released on January 10. According to circulated excerpts of the memoir, William physically attacked Harry after an argument about his wife Markle escalated.

In response to excerpts from his brother's memoir, Spare, which laid several accusations on him, Page Six recently revealed that Prince William was "seething and devastated." Via the news outlet, Royal expert Katie Nicholl disclosed that due to the number of accusations leveled against William, the Prince of Wales could not forgive his brother.

Nicholl said, "William's privately seething and devastated by what Harry has done. And just cannot forgive Harry for the things that he's written."

The Royal expert who wrote The New Royals: Queen Elizabeth's Legacy and the Future of the Crown further stated that the royal family expected something "raw" and "explosive" from the memoir, but this was a lot. "They've been taken aback by the level of detail and just how far Harry has gone in all of this," she stated.

Nicholl added that while Harry admitted that he wanted to reconcile with his family, she does not see such an event happening anytime soon. Earlier, Harry revealed that he missed and wanted his brother and father back. The father of two also stated that he had attempted to reconcile but was met with no effort from the other party.

The Royal expert explained per Page Six, "The idea that he wants his father and his brother back just seems so incongruous with how he is behaving and what he's saying."

Nicholl further stated that Harry's painting of an "unflattering picture of the royal family and a very unsavory side of his brother and an uncaring side of his father" did not seem like the actions of someone eager for a reconciliation. "It really feels like a line has been crossed," she added.

Harry, in his yet-to-be-released memoir, stated that Prince William tackled him to the ground amid a quarrel about his wife, Markle. The Duke of Sussex claimed that the attack happened "so fast" and earned him a visible injury on his back after falling on and breaking his dog's bowl.

"It all happened so fast. So very fast. He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor," Harry wrote. "I landed on the dog's bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out."

Harry also accused William of being jealous of him due to his creation of the Invictus Games and being unsupportive of his marriage with Markle. The Royal even took his comments a step further when he referenced William's receding hairline as "alarming."

Prince Harry and William reportedly started having trouble in their relationship in 2020 when the Duke of Sussex and Markle revealed that they wanted to resign from their Royal duties. Harry also hinted at their turbulent relationship in an interview in 2019, stating that the brothers were on "different paths."

Harry and Markle's 2021 bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey seemed to worsen the situation and further alienate the brothers. There, the father of two claimed that William and his father, King Charles III, were tied to their roles as royals.

He disclosed, "It's been really hard. I am part of the system with them, I always have been, but I guess — and I'm very aware of this — my brother can't leave that system, but I have."

Markle, at the time, also talked about a rumor that circulated about her 2018 wedding to Harry, which claimed she had made Kate Middleton, William's wife, cry. She explained, contrary to the rumor, "the reverse happened."
