While Prince William and Prince Harry have not had the best relationship in past years, it seems as though their relationship is even more strained after the latter's recent Netflix documentary. The brothers reportedly started being on the outs with each other not long after Harry got married to his wife, Meghan Markle.

Following heightened criticism from the media, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex left their roles as senior royals in early 2020. The decision, according to Harry, brought about several reactions from the family, including William allegedly screaming at him. His subsequent interview with Markle on Oprah Winfrey's show deepened the wedge between them.

In the last three episodes of "Harry & Meghan," the Duke threw a bunch of accusations at William. Besides claiming that the future king screamed at him, Harry said William broke a pact concerning trading negative press stories about each other. The Duke also alleged that William sent a shocking message after the couple's Winfrey interview.

The Duke and Duchess were nowhere to be seen at Princess Kate's carol concert "Together at Christmas" on Sunday. The members of the royal family in attendance include King Charles, The Queen Consort Camilla, as well as the Prince and Princess of Wales. Harry and Markle were reportedly in their California home at the time of the event.

The couple recently released the second volume of their Netflix docuseries, "Harry & Meghan," where they dropped even more bombshells than in the previous episodes. Amongst other things, Harry spoke about his relationship with his brother and some of their more unsavory interactions over the years.

Following the revelation and Harry's comment about William in the documentary, a source revealed to Page Six that the brothers' relationship was as good as done. "I think that's it," the source said. "They're done …" Neither William nor Buckingham Palace has released statements concerning the documentary.

Earlier, Royal expert Katie Nicholl told Entertainment Tonight that William feels "very badly betrayed" by Harry and the accusations "incredibly upset" him. She also claimed that the Prince of Wales "will be taking this very personally."

While commenting on the smiling pictures of the royal family from their Thursday carol event, the source noted the absence of Harry and Markle. They said, "The photos of the family all together said everything, while Harry and Meghan were distanced, sad and bitter back in Montecito."

Earlier in the series, Harry mentioned losing a number of his friends after his move to the US and how much he missed "the weird family gatherings." The royal, however, noted that if his mother, the late Princess Diana, were alive, her love for the US could have "potentially" made her live in the country.

A source, per Page Six, pointed out the couple's relationship with Tyler Perry and how he was named the godfather of Lilibet, their second daughter, despite their short relationship. Perry housed the couple in his $15 million L. A mansion shortly after they stepped down from their senior royal positions. The insider asked, "Do they have any real friends, or is it just Oprah Winfrey? They seem to be quite isolated."

They went on to talk about Markle and how she may not have a proper understanding of royal family fractures due to her only-child status. The source continued, "Meghan [who has half-siblings] sees herself as an only child; I don't think she understands the dynamics of siblings."

Another source who, according to Page Six, has ties with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, revealed that Markle had attempted to talk to William after they moved to California; however, her efforts fell on deaf ears. They said, "I'm told that William said he wanted to speak to Harry himself and did not want to go through Meghan."

In preparation for the documentary, Harry and Markle had their lives filmed professionally and on their mobile phones. After the Queen's passing in September, the couple reportedly attempted to have parts of the docuseries edited for fear of the kind of damage it would have on their image.

A Netflix insider claimed that the reaction would still be more or less the same regardless of the closeness of Queen Elizabeth's passing. "They were concerned about the show premiering — with their many complaints — in such close proximity to the Queen's passing, but the reaction would have been the same no matter when it aired," they said.

Another source from the streaming giant said, "Harry and Meghan had made promises to Netflix, saying 'We won't step on your toes,' but then they wanted to push it back to next year and cut bits out. Netflix said no."
