Kelly Clarkson Unrecognizable 37 Pounds Thinner On L.A. Beach

"How do y’all recognize her?" Just one of many comments flying in as photos of Kelly Clarkson's latest beach outing emerge. The 38-year-old singer and talk show host, still making headlines for her 2020 divorce from ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, was this week photographed on Manhattan Beach, California. "The Voice" judge, who made 2019 headlines for dropping 37 pounds, had her whittled-down frame on show. She also seemed to have viewers literally unable to recognize her. Scroll for the photos. They come as "The Kelly Clarkson Show" host kicks off her second season on morning television, with Kelly getting very honest about her legal separation from Blackstock back in June – Kelly admitted to life being a "bit of a dumpster" recently.

The snaps, seeing Kelly opt out of swimwear despite being right on shores, showed the blonde amid crowds and splashing her ankles in ocean spray as she enjoyed a beach stroll. Kelly wore cropped Nike yoga pants, a burgundy red top with long sleeves, plus a straw hat and shades – full incognito style.

Click here for the snaps – scroll for more. Kelly, who had her 37-pound weight drop on show and has credited the shed to "The Plant Paradox" book, now sees fans straight-up not recognizing her.

"She looks so different. What happened ?," one fan wrote, with another saying: "I couldn't recognize her!"

Others, meanwhile, seemed out to respect the "American Idol" alum's privacy: "She is a talented, funny, sharp and beautiful woman. This isn't a flattering picture of her and you can tell she didn't want to be recognized and just wanted to enjoy the beach," a user wrote. More below.

Kelly, also photographed with 6-year-old daughter River and 4-year-old Son Remington, is seeking joint legal and physical custody of the children she shares with now-ex Blackstock. The star has also been opening up on her painful split, admitting that her life feels a mess right now.

"I mean, it's no secret. My life has been a little bit of a dumpster," she told Sunday TODAY host Willie Geist, adding:

"Personally, it's been a little hard the last couple months. I've been talking to friends that have been through divorce. I don't know how people go through that without having some kind of outlet because it is the worst thing ever for everyone involved."

Kelly, who has announced a 2021 album set to chronicle her emotions, has been keeping up on the career front despite a messy personal life. The mom of two will be resuming her judging role on hit reality series "The Voice" next month, with this week seeing her Instagram excitedly announce a new season of "The Kelly Clarkson Show." Kelly updated in a figure-flaunting pink dress on Monday, writing:
