Ellen DeGeneres' Employees Believe Her Apology Rides On Insensitivity

Ellen DeGeneres, has been walking on thin ice for the past couple of weeks, as her employees seem to have had enough for her daily work misconduct. She was accused of a lot of things, including sexual harassment. 

To make matters worse, many employees; both former and present confirmed these allegations, thereby pushing for more investigation to be done. 

Recently, the TV host tendered an apology to all her staff members, but they sensed some elements of insincerity, owing to what they allegedly had to go through while working for her. In other words, they do not accept her apology.

Speaking to BuzzFeed about their experiences, some of these employees relayed their grievances against the TV host, citing that she rubbed their issues in their faces. 

They also mentioned that they did not appreciate the fact that she highlighted the issues they accused her of, to the media in a sarcastic manner. 

“Not only did Ellen turn my trauma, turn our traumas into a joke, she somehow managed to make this about her,” said a former staff.

Did Ellen just bite more than she can chew? Only time will tell. 

Employees believe that Ellen is trying her best to spin the media around and make the situation she has found herself in, seem like it's all coming down on her. 

While she was on-air recently, Ellen Asked everyone how their summer was, and proceeded to mention that she had a swirl weekend. That seemed like an outright joke, because there was nothing pleasant about her summer. 

For the past few weeks, she was faced with countless allegations from her employees about how she conducts her daily business.

In July, a report fromBuzzFeed, disclosed that Ellen's employees were absolutely fed up with their experiences at the work place. They mentioned that the 62-year-old, thrived on a work environment that was built on fear and intimidation. 

Furthermore, they disclosed that other managers in the company constantly engaged in sexual harassment, without fear of getting fired. 

These allegations led to a deep investigation by WarnerMedia and three producers; Kevin Leman, Jonathan Norman and Ed Glavin were laid off immediately in August, proving that these allegations had elements of truth in them.

When these allegations came to light, it all seemed like Ellen was in the dark about it, but her employees assured media houses like BuzzFeed that she wasn't. 

She immediately issued an apology to all members of staff, stating that she claims full responsibility for everything that has gone wrong behind the scenes. 

However, some employees were certain that it was all a ruse to bring more viewers to the show. 

“... She's sharing it now because it's for premiere week and it's to get viewers back, and that just feels like the opposite of that this message is about,” a former employee said.
