Cheryl Burke Shares Cryptic Post Following Headlines Of Ex's New Relationship

Is Cheryl Burke throwing shade at her ex?!

The dancer, whose divorce from her husband of three years, Matthew Lawrence, was finalized in September of last year, has not been linked to anyone since the split. It is not the same for her estranged ex, as it was recently revealed that he has moved on since then to a new relationship. So it looks like news of his new flame has her reeling, judging by a post she shared on social media. 

Less than four months after their divorce was finalized, the "Boy Meets World" alum was reported to be in a new relationship with singer Chilli and the "Dancing With the Stars" alum had a little something to say about it. While the song "Boy's a liar" by Pink Pantheress played, she wrote, "That was fast…" over a black screen on her Instagram story. 

The post came hours after a rep for the TLC singer, Christal Jordan, confirmed their romance. The Blast shared that rumors of the new couple being together started making their rounds towards the end of 2022, and it was confirmed by the first week of January. 

Fans will recall that three days before the reveal, she encouraged everyone with a post telling them to trust divine timing. The text read, "God has perfect timing. Never early and never late. It takes a little patience and a lot of FAITH." 

In her caption, she wrote, "Won't HE do it!!!!!!," as she wished everyone a blessed Sabbath, adding, "May YESHUA bless yall with a WAVE of BLESSINGS in the New Year and every year after!!!?? #Godisgood ❤️."

Her followers agreed with her in the comments, writing, "And if it doesn't happen… it's because he has something better in store for you." One user noted, "Thank you always for your message. It always hits right when I'm in need of some encouragement."

Some people wrote about how relatable the post was concerning their lives, while others jokingly stated that they needed a lot of patience to let faith do its job. The "TLC" star must have decided to let go of trying to hide them and have faith because the "Scrubs" singer's spokesperson initially denied all rumors of them being together. 

Us Weekly shared that even after three months of seeing each other, the explanation given was that the pair were just friends. Since that time, they were spotted on a romantic getaway in Hawaii during summer and more recently celebrated their love with a cute video on Instagram. 

The clip posted to her page showed the lovebirds dancing to "Take on me" by A-ha dressed in cute matching onesies. She captioned the dance with hashtags, "newyearshenanigans, onesiegang, and wecute."

A comment for her beau's former co-star Danielle Fishel read, "This makes me very happy ❤️," while a user referred to the popular sitcom he starred in, writing, "Boy meets Chilli." 

Another follower got the 51-year-old blushing with their comment: "@realchilli has a ❤️ that can dance!!!! But most importantly, your heart found its perfect match. ❤️❤️❤️ Matthew is little sister/publicist/bodyguard approved!!! What a beautiful start to 2023." The "Living Single" actress responded with "Awwww shucks ??." 

Regarding divorce court proceedings, the estranged pair have kept it simple and free from drama since Burke first filed for divorce early last year. This might be due to the fact that they had already signed a prenuptial agreement before getting married in 2019.

In legal documents obtained by The Blast, she got to keep all the royalties, earnings, residuals, and money earned with QVC, gotten during her time on "Dancing With The Stars." The same went for the former child star, who got all of his own royalties and residuals. 

While they both agreed to waive spousal support, settling ownership of their pet dog was the only issue left. The court, seeing it as a sensitive issue, reserved jurisdiction for "later determination of the issue of the ownership of the dog Ysabella."
