Former Nickelodeon star, Drake Bell, and his wife Janet Von Schmeling's marriage has allegedly hit the rocks.

Per reports, the pair separated in the wake of the singer's personal troubles getting the better of him. Bell entered "treatment" while Von Schmeling moved back home to Florida with their son, although they have yet to publicly confirm that they are no longer together.

The actor was spotted earlier in December inhaling the gas from a balloon while driving with his son. At the time, he was still serving a two-year probation for two counts of "attempted child endangerment and disseminating matters harmful to juveniles."

According to Page Six, Bell has separated from his wife, Von Schmeling, in the wake of his inability to deal with his recent personal issues.

Per the publication, a source shared that the duo is headed for divorce as it appears that the former Nickelodeon star's troubles have caused an unrepairable rift in the marriage.

News of the separation comes after Bell was photographed early last month inhaling the gas from balloons while sitting in the parking lot of a California vape shop with his young son in the back seat of his car.

At the time, "Drake & Josh" alum was still serving a two-year probation for a child endangerment charge. He has also had other scuffles with the law, including two DUI convictions.

It's unclear which of his troubles spurred Von Schmeling to conclude that she had "had enough" of him and no longer wanted to continue their union.

The 36-year-old and the 28-year-old began their romance in 2013 and tied the knot in a low-profile ceremony in 2018.

Drake Bell Is Reportedly Getting Treatment

In the meantime, it is alleged that Bell has gone in for treatment to help with his issues and that his wife is receiving assistance from her family in this trying moment. Per Page Six, Von Schmeling has returned to Florida with their kid, seemingly to start a new life for herself.

"They had some incredible beautiful times before. He needs to focus on being healthy, and they'll be great co-parents in the future," a source informed the publication about the estranged couple.

"It's a bad moment in time for Drake. But he is a great dad when he is healthy and sober."

Neither Bell nor Von Schmeling is yet to publicly confirm their separation as it appears they want to keep details about their split solely within the family.

Drake Bell's Legal Troubles

Bell's previously found himself hitting a rough patch after he was charged with "two counts of attempted child endangerment and disseminating matters harmful to juveniles," per Page Six.

The incident that resulted in the charges occurred in 2017, and the actor entered a guilty plea in 2021.

Investigations revealed that Bell and the female complainant had 'developed a relationship' online before the singer's concert in Cleveland and that Bell had exchanged several "inappropriate social media messages" with her, per Daily Mail.

Although the complainant also claimed that Bell had "sexually abused" her, those allegations were not part of his charges and did not play a role in his sentencing at the time. Bell and his legal team also denied those claims.

Months after the sentencing, the singer made a video where he vehemently denied the sexual assault claims made by the complainant, although he acknowledged he had exchanged messages with her.

He said, per Daily Mail, "it's not me telling you that the claims are false, but the state of Ohio has proven the claims to be false. If these claims were remotely true, my situation would be very different.

He added, " I was not charged with anything physical. I was not charged with disseminating her images or anything like that. This was strictly over text messages."

The singer also said his actions were "reckless," which compelled him to take the plea deal to put an end to the issue.

He ended the video by urging his fans to do their own research before drawing conclusions about what the media had written about him.
