Johnny Depp made his film debut in the horror film "A Nightmare on Elm Street" (1984), but has since gone on to star in various productions including "Edward Scissorhands" (1990), "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" (1993), "Sleepy Hollow" (1999), "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" (2005), "Alice in Wonderland" (2010), and, of course, the "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise.

Depp has been in the news due to his recent defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard. Now, months after the trial came to an end, Netflix has removed two popular Depp films from its streaming service.

Over this past weekend, two of Johnny Depp's films were removed from the streaming service -- "Chocolat" (2000) and "Blow" (2001).

"Chocolat" is a romance starring both Johnny Depp and Juliette Binoche, and directed by Lasse Hallström. The film tells the story of single mom Vianne (Binoche) and her new chocolate shop, but she soon realizes her business is causing some changes within the small community. She also finds herself in a relationship with a self-professed river-rat (Depp)

"Blow" is a different type of movie -- one that takes place in the 1970s and tell the story of how George Jung, along with the Medellín Cartel headed by Pablo Escobar, established the American cocaine market in the United States.

Fans of Depp can still watch his 1997 crime drama "Donnie Brasco," as it is still streaming on Netflix. And for Disney+ subscribers, fans of Jack Sparrow can stream all five "Pirates of the Caribbean" films, including “Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl” (2003), “Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest” (2006), “Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World’s End” (2007), “Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” (2011), and “Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” (2017).

Depp Won’t Return As Jack Sparrow For The "Pirates" Movies

Johnny Depp is known for his many roles in both television and film, but one of his most iconic characters is Captain Jack Sparrow -- the savvy pirate in all five of Disney's "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise. Due to Depp's ex-wife’s, Amber Heard’s, allegations, Disney fired the actor and he will not return to the sixth installment of “Pirates of the Caribbean”.

And during the defamation trial against his ex-wife, Heard’s attorney, Ben Rottenborn, asked Depp, while Depp was under testimony, “The fact is, Mr. Depp, if Disney came to you with $300 million and a million alpacas, nothing on this earth would get you to go back and work with Disney on a ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ film? Correct?” To which Depp confirmed he would never return as Jack Sparrow, “That is true, Mr. Rottenborn.”

At this time, Depp is not returning to the “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise for the sixth installment.

Johnny Depp did, however, recently channel the beloved pirate and dressed up as Captain Jack Sparrow from the “Pirates of the Caribbean” films for a terminally ill child, Kori, releasing a nor-viral video on social media.

The 11-year-old boy runs the YouTube channel “Kraken The Box,” and he is currently in palliative care after undergoing multiple heart transplant surgeries. As an outlet, Kori watched the “Pirates of the Caribbean” movies during his recovery.
