Internet's Obsession With Pokimane's Feet

When Pokimane shows off her feet, boy, do people pay attention. Although that’s not the only thing that drives more than 5.3 million people to follow her Twitch channel, many do tune in just for a glimpse. Whether she’s waggling her toes at the camera or simply going about her day, the cheers fill the comments whenever her tootsies end up on full display.

Bordering on obsession, the drive to see and admire Pokimane’s feet doesn’t seem to be going away any time soon. Even with all the boyfriend drama and her impromptu hiatus from streaming, her loyal fans are still keeping their hopes up that new footage will pop up in the near future.

Pokimane’s fans, dubbed the Poki Squad, have long put her up on a pedestal and show a willingness to kiss her feet on demand. They are happy to act as attack dogs, punching the report button on any streamers that dare challenge their goddess. And, according to YouTuber It’sAGundam, one guy even donated his rent money and ended up homeless on her account, hoping to finally garner recognition and affection from her. So, perhaps as the squad formed at her feet, they grew to worship not only the ground she walks on, but her tootsies as well.

As she shows off her toenail polish, playfully kicks at the camera, and just generally goes about her day while streaming, fans add to their collection of Pokimane feet pics. They have put these screencaps and photographs on dedicated websites along with a plethora of stats and facts. For example, did you know her shoe size is 6.5m on US charts? Or that she prefers to have her toenails painted in the classic French tips style? Her fans do, and they are always watching and listening for even more stats, facts, and pics.  

More often than not, Pokimane shows up on her livestreams as barefoot as the day she was born. While she may just prefer to let her feet breathe, every last one of her socks got lost during her move last December (Or stolen, perhaps?). Sturdy replacements came in the mail that day, thanks to Amazon Prime Now’s prompt delivery. Despite that, she remains barefoot on camera quite often, giving foot-obsessed fans just what they crave.

Before Leafytriggered the boyfriend fiasco, Pokimane was up to 10,000 monthly subscriptions. And you can bet a good portion of them were regularly on her stream in hope of catching a glimpse of her bare tootsies. Unfortunately, for them, their barefoot babe went on a prompt hiatus after offering what she called, “my overdue apology.” Worse yet, not once during that video did she offer glimpse of her feet, leaving fans without the chance to say goodbye.

While Pokimane may have waved sayonara and stepped away from social media, the drama still swirls around her. Although she apologized directly to ItsAGundam in that video, he mocked her as insincere and dubbed her “The Carole Baskin of Twitch.” Ouch. Fellow streamer xQc created his own reaction video with a little bit of fair criticism along with a reasonable amount of support. Fans still loyal to her, on the other hand, eagerly await her return, especially those who want to see her feet once again.

There’s no telling how long Pokimane will stay away from her channels as a result of all the recent drama. But you can count on her putting up her feet and relaxing on her downtime. It’s just too bad for the fans that no cameras will be pointed her way.
