'Dirty Dancing' star Jennifer Grey's husband says he will be paying spousal support to the actress in the couple's divorce, and has asked the court to terminate his ability to collect any support from his ex-wife.

According to legal documents, obtained by The Blast, the 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D' actor filed the request as a part of his divorce documents, and its clear he is the one who will be making support payments in the split.

Its interesting, considering many divorce filings of this nature usually request the exact opposite from what Clark Gregg is asking for in his filing.

According to the filing, Gregg says the couple separated on January 18, 2020, and cites 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason for the divorce.

In the filing, Gregg is asking for all property acquired before the marriage and after the separation to be his sole and separate property.

It's unclear if the couple has a prenup, considering they have been married for 19 years, but Jennifer has already famous at the time. In the documents, he is asking for the 'community property' to be split between the two of them and describes it as any asset acquired during the marriage.

As we reported, the split seems to be amicable based on the couple's statement several weeks ago about ending their marriage.

"After 19 years together, we separated in January, knowing we'd always be a family who loves, values and cares for each other," the couple's statement began, which was written next to a photo of the couple hugging each other.

It continues, "We recently made the difficult decision to divorce, but we remain close and are deeply grateful for the life we've shared and the wonderful daughter we've raised," they concluded the statement, adding that they were "totally crying as we post this."

Child support will not be an issue, in this case, the couple shares only one daughter -- Stella -- who is 18-years-old.

Interestingly, only a month prior to Clark filing for divorce, Jennifer wished him a Happy Father's Day and praised the Marvel star calling him a 'loving partner.'

"Happy Father's Day @clarkgregg. I love you and am beyond grateful you showed up just in the nick o' time to make my dream come true. For continuing to show up as a devoted, loving dad and partner to raise this amazing human with. couldn't have done it without you," she wrote.

Jennifer has yet to respond to the divorce filing, but our guess is she is not going to argue being on the receiving end of spousal support payments.

As we reported, Grey is also set to star in a new version of the smash-hit movie, 'Dirty Dancing.'
