Snooki Under Fire For 'Good Cops, Your Silence Is Complicit' Sign

Snooki is catching heat after followers noticed a bold sign on the front of her clothing store shop in Madison, New Jersey. The "Jersey Shore: Family Vacation" star took to social media to reveal The Snooki Shop was given the "Best Signage" award in town but not everyone agreed. After the outrage following George Floyd's death, the 32-year-old original meatball announced that she could allow protesters to post signs on her storefront after it was revealed that their creative signs were getting ripped down around town.
Many signs read "Black Lives Matter" and included messages about police brutality, as well as the injustice. She defended her actions then and after giving protesters a "safe space" to display their art, Snooki is being rewarded but it's not for what you think.
Posing out in the front of her store, the MTV star showed off the award with one of her employees on Wednesday, August 19. Wearing white shorts and her signature leopard print, as well as a mask, Snooki proudly held up the award for all to see.

"Wohoo! Thank you so much to the town of Madison, NJ @ilovemadisonnj for our store award for Best Signage in town!" she captioned the shot. Tagging the company who created her massive "The Snooki Shop" sign, she gave credit where it's due. "@signarama killed it ? #thesnookishop," she added.
While several fans applauded Snooki for the achievement, others immediately began slamming the star when they noticed the protest signs covering the storefront windows. One in particular caught attention because it was focused on cops.

"Dear Good Cops, Your silence is complicit????" one follower wrote, referring to the highlighted sign in the background of Snooki's shot. "These cops are taking a beating and getting killed everywhere across the country while their hands are tied from do-nothing Democrats. Are you kidding me with that sign?? Shameful," they added.
"She may need those 'complicit' cops when they loot her shop," posted someone else. "She'll be calling for those complicit cops crying and whining!! Major disappointment with that sign @snooki," added another. "Dear complicit cops, OK," shared a fourth.
At the time of this post, Snooki has not addressed the backlash.
