Shawn Mendes MELTS Instagram With An Icy Christmas Dip In Black Trunks

Shawn Mendes had an icy treat for his fans for Christmas, as he stripped off his 6'3 bod down nothing but black trunks and did the "polar bear lunge" in frigid waters, wishing all his fans a "Merry Christmas".

There are plenty of ways to kickstart Christmas mornings, and for most of us, with the frigid temperatures around, it begins with a hot cuppa and the unwrapping of gifts. For Mendes, the unwrapping bit came from stripping off his own clothes, and the only thing hot, for the fans, for his tall, lanky form in black swim trunks.

It seems Mendes decided to play Santa for his fans as he wished everyone a "Merry Christmas" and shared a video of him diving into a freezing cold lake.

The video starts with the singer seemingly mentally gearing himself to dive into sub-zero water. Frankly, with all the snow and ice around, watching him trudge to the edge of the icy lake is enough to give us all frostbite!

After a deep breath, Mendes strips off his boots and then his sweater, standing in black trunks, with a friend in tow. The singer gingerly steps into the after and finally braves a full plunge in, yelling, "Whoo! It's cold," after coming up.

After doing a polar bear lunge under the water, Mendes finally gets out as he yells that he "can't feel a thing." After getting his boots and sweater back on, Mendes finally gives the camera a thumbs up, and fan reactions were just as wild as that icy dip!

Ryan Tedder joked, "BLUE BALLS. LITERALLY" while Sabrina Carpenter punned, "was it cold tho"!

Tommy Hilfiger wrote, "Brave 😭 Happy Holidays Shawn!"

Swae Lee also commented, "Whaaaaaaaah!??? You’re different"

More comments followed:

Fans now feel that the 24-year-old singer is possibly dating his 50-year-old chiropractor, Dr. Jocelyne Miranda after the two were spotted in public all through 2022. Recently, they were seen at a farmer’s market in West Hollywood, where Mendes had his arms around Jocelyne.

The “Senorita” singer first sparked romance rumors with Jocelyne when paps snapped some pictures of them at lunch back in July, as reported by the Daily Mail. Jocelyne herself has quite a collection of celebrity clients, including Justin and Hailey Bieber, and has also worked as Shawn’s chiropractor for a few years, especially when he was on tour.

While neither Mendes nor Jocelyne has offered statements about their relationship, if any, she has shared several photos on Instagram from her time with Shawn on tour,  including a post wishing him a happy birthday with some backstage shots.

Mendes was in a relationship with Camila Cabello from 2019 to 2021 and has been low-key about his relationships since. While the fan speculation is on, Jocelyne could be dating hotelier and author Stas Arsonov, given that she posted a few cozy shots with him on her Instagram Story in November 2022.

As far as their relationship goes, it could be merely professional or a deeper friendship as well. Mendes is keeping mum about it, but then again, if celebrities began to take each rumor at face value, they'd never get anything done, right?
