Sabrina Carpenter released a new single, “Because I Like A Boy,” on July 15.

The new single came with a stunning visual and debuted alongside her album “Emails I Cant’ Send.”

In “Because I Like A Boy,” Carpenter addresses her love triangle with Olivia Rodrigo and Joshua Bassett.

“Now I'm a homewrecker, I'm a slut / I got death threats fillin' up semi-trucks,” Carpenter sang in the chorus.

“That song came from a really real place in my life, so it didn’t feel right to not kind of write that song,” the singer told Rolling Stone.

Carpenter revealed that writing “Because I Liked A Boy” was “very therapeutic.”

“Because I Liked A Boy” is the fifth track on the singer’s fifth studio album.

Carpenter announced the album's release date with a beautiful Instagram post on June 30, writing: “thank u for being patient with me :’) i think it’s worth the wait”

The album contains 13 songs, including "Vicious," “Skinny Dripping,” and “Fast Times.”
