Clearly, the curse of being over 25 couldn’t even escape the world’s biggest supermodel.
Prior to Hadid, Leo was in a committed relationship with Camila Morrone, but ditched her after she turned 25-years-old.
The actor and the model split in August after getting together in January 2018.
During their four-year relationship, sources close to the couple said they were “pretty serious.”
“It's definitely not a casual relationship. Camila spends a lot of time at his house. Camila is long known as Leo's girlfriend. And Leo introduced her to both of his parents long ago,” an insider told the outlet in 2019.
Of course, the following year COVID-19 hit and put everybody into lockdown.
The couple seemed to weather the Coronavirus storm and spent “24/7” with each other amid the lockdown.
DiCaprio definitely has a type.
DiCaprio Has A Type... Under 25 & Over 18!
He always goes for the young, tall model-type. In fact, the actor has never dated anyone older than 26-years-old in recent years.
In 2021, a Reddit user created a graph consisting of all the women DiCaprio has dated in recent years.
The graph titled, “Leonardo DiCaprio Refuses To Date A Woman Over 25,” revealed the actor legitimately hasn’t dated anyone over the age of 25.
The graph starts in 1999 with Gisele Bündchen when she was just 18-years-old and DiCaprio was 24.
It ends in 2019 with Morrone who was 21 at the time.
However, a common theme seen throughout the graph is that once a woman hits 25… DiCaprio jumps ship.
“Titanic” pun MOST DEFINITELY intended.
He dated Bar Rafael for five years from 2005 when she was 20-years-old to 2010 when she hit 25.
DiCaprio briefly dated Kelly Rohrbach when she was 25, and Nina Agdal for one short year until she turned 25-years-old.
Earlier this year, an actual fake news story spread like wildfire involving Morrone and DiCaprio.
The story centered around a date DiCaprio forced Morrone to go on, and she called it the “worst date of my life.”
Basically, the fake news story was created by satire Twitter account @LeCinephiles.
On January 14, the account tweeted, “BREAKING: Leonardo DiCaprio’s ex-girlfriend, Camila Morrone details the 'worst date of my life' with the actor."
“He rented out a whole cinema, and made me watch every single ‘STAR WARS’ movie while he ran around with his lightsaber pretending to fight bad guys,” the account claimed Morrone said.
This story ended up being as fake as a three-dollar-bill, but people still fell for it.
