Model Ashley Graham fended off a troll who tried to body shame her looks.

The troll had posted a side-by-side comparison of Graham's 2016 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover and that of model Irina Shayk with the statement, "The fat positivity movement is getting out of hand."

Graham responded by posting a risqué picture of herself with the caption, "Quote tweet this with a photo of you taking 'fat positivity' too far," subtly dissing the critic.

Several online users were inspired by Graham's post and quickly added pictures of themselves to form a thread. The model had previously said that she wanted women to be addressed without labels.

Ashley Graham has clapped back at a Twitter user who claimed that the model's plus-size look was not worthy of being on magazine covers.

The troll had made a side-by-side post of a model Irina Shayk's cover and Graham's 2016 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit with the caption, "The fat positivity movement is getting out of hand."

Rather than using derogatory words to hit back at her critic, Graham took the high road, sharing a revealing photo of herself to prove she was overly positive about her body size.

The photo showcased her wearing a gold chainmail outfit with fabric straps holding it together at her bare back. The supermodel completed the look with sultry makeup and was all smiles for the camera.

Alongside her post, Graham also penned a caption that encouraged people to remain positive about their looks regardless of what others may think.

She tweeted, "Quote tweet this with a photo of you taking 'fat positivity' too far."

Several online users were inspired by Graham's post and quickly added pictures of themselves to form a thread.

Alongside their posts, they added well-meaning captions that either highlighted their confidence in their looks or showed they were willing to start being positive about it.

One fan said, "I usually don't post full-body pics, but I'm feeling inspired."

"Out here glorifying obesity every day with my fine a**," one follower wrote, alongside a picture of herself wearing a black bikini.

"Got married while being as fat as I've ever been & it was incredible," penned another fan wearing a gorgeous wedding dress.

Ashley Graham Had Some Blowback For Her Sports Illustrated Cover

Although Graham's "body positivity" principles have contributed to changing how the modeling industry views plus-size women, there have been some roadblocks along the way, occasionally even from work colleagues.

In 2020, she recalled that a fellow model criticized Sports Illustrated magazine for allowing her to grace their 2016 cover.

"There was another model who was so upset that I had gotten the cover, and she said I was very large and that women my size should not be on the cover," Graham recalled in an interview with supermodel Naomi Campbell when she appeared in an episode of her YouTube series "No Filter With Naomi."

Although Graham did not mention the name of the model in the show, it is alleged that the individual was Cheryl Tiegs, who, in 2016, said to E! News, "I don't like that we're talking about full-figured women because it's glamorizing them because your waist should be smaller than 35 [inches]."

Ashley Graham Hates Women Being Labeled

Graham frequently urges her followers to embrace their bodies by posting unfiltered images that show genuine, raw, and intimate events from her life.

She has also mentioned that she dislikes the term "real lady" being used to describe her. In an interview with Elle from 2016, she expressed her desire for society to stop labeling women by their looks.

"There are so many women out there who are naturally thin, or are naturally curvy, and I think when we start putting a label on the type of woman, it gets misconstrued and starts to offend people," Graham said at the time. "At the end of the day, we just all want to be known as women or models or actresses or whatever."
