Dr. Dre's wife just filed documents claiming there is NO prenup in their marriage, but not because she didn't sign one before they got married, but he actually RIPPED it up a few years after they tied the knot!!
According to legal documents, obtained by The Blast, Nicole Young is asking a judge to bifurcate the issues surrounding the couple's prenup -- in other words, to put the issue of a prenup behind them before proceeding with the divorce.
In the filing, Young says the reason she is going to court is that Dr. Dre is now claiming the couple entered into a prenup in 1996, before they got married, and he wants it followed.
But, we're told the legendary rapper and producer TRASHED the document just a few years after their wedding!

According to the filing, Nicole did sign something before the couple married in 1996 but feels she was coerced at the time to signing the document, and that it was highly unfair and heavily favored to Dre in the event of a divorce.
In her declaration, Nicole claims Dre pressured her in the days leading up to their wedding, saying, "I must sign a premarital agreement or he would not marry me."
"I was extremely, reduction, resistant, and afraid to sign the agreement and felt backed into a corner," she continued.
Nicole claims Dr. Dre's lawyers drafted up the document and she was "left with no option but to sign it 'unwillingly.'
But, in the newly filed documents, Nicole claims that shockingly just two or three years after the couple got hitched, Dr. Dre took out the original prenup and RIPPED it into pieces right in front of her, all while confessing his love.
The filing says Dre "destroyed the agreements as a grand gesture of his love for Nicole and his desire to have a marriage free of any financial restrictions governing their respective rights and responsibilities."
At the time, Nicole claims Dr. Dre "felt ashamed he had pressured me into signing a premarital agreement and he tore up multiple copies of the agreement in front of me."
She contiuned, "Since the day he tore up the agreements, we both understood that there was no premarital agreement, and it was null and void."
At that point, Nicole says she lived the next two decades believing there was no prenup and the couple stayed together for 24 years. Of course, over that time period, Dr. Dre became one of the most successful music producers and entrepreneurs in the country with a net worth of over $800 Million.
Dr. Dre's wife filed for divorce on June 29, 2020, citing irreconcilable differences. She is asking for spousal support an even split of the community property.
Nicole Young's position is that she and legendary rapper should split all assets, including any cash and real estate right down the middle -- since they do not have a prenup.
As we reported, Dr. Dre responded to Nicole's divorce filing by agreeing to pay her spousal support, but as for the division of property, he believes it should be governed by the details of their prenup. Ya, the one he tore up!!
In the documents, Dre's wife is clear, even if someone on his team has a copy of the document they signed in the late 1990's -- it is unenforceable, and shouldn't be considered in this divorce.
The bottom line, Dr. Dre's tearing up the couple's prenup, may have been the most expensive romantic gestures in the history of the world. Basically, the ripping of the document will cost him HUNDREDS of Millions of Dollars.
In this case, there are no issues with child support, as the couple's three children are all adults.
In the end, Nicole Young is asking the judge in their divorce to deem any document that exists unenforceable, and for the prenup issue to be put behind them, so they can begin splitting up their massive fortune.
For the record, despite Dre not putting out an album since 2015, the music mogul reportedly earned $950 Million since 2010. This was in large part due to his 20% stake in 'Beats Electronics' which was sold to Apple for $3 BILLION in 2014.
As we said, the tearing up on the couple's prenup may have been a VERY romantic but REALLY expensive moment in his life!!
A judge is yet to rule on the subject.
