Demi Moore Breaks Silence As Daughter Rumer Willis Expects First Child

Demi Moore is going to be a grandmother!

The renowned actress needs no introduction as one of the most prominent figures from the 90s. At 60, the New Mexico native continues to defy time with her perpetual beauty and grace.

However, Moore's most outstanding achievement is not her successful career but her wonderful family. The entertainer could not be happier as her daughter, Rumer Willis, is expecting her first child.

Over a decade after ending her marriage to Hollywood veteran Bruce Willis, Moore and the action star are becoming grandparents for the first time. The former couple is receiving the honor thanks to the oldest of their three daughters.

On December 20, Rumer announced the joyful news alongside her boyfriend, Derek Richard Thomas. The adorable duo debuted their blossoming relationship in a series of cute pictures featuring the "90210" star's baby bump.

The soon-to-be grandma proudly shared the same snaps on her Instagram page, letting her 3.2 million followers know she could not wait to meet the next family member.

The first and third pictures in the black-and-white image series captured the Vista Kicks frontman's affectionate side. The musician gave his lover a delicate kiss on her growing belly and looked delighted as he cradled his lover's growing belly in the last slide.

On the other hand, Rumer stole the spotlight in the second picture. This picturesque scene showcased the 34-year-old's pregnant silhouette as she posed in front of potted flowers. Behind the expectant mother was a beautiful snowy background, giving the photo the perfect holiday touch.

Although the couple and their unborn child were the main stars, Moore subtly made the post about herself. The 60-year-old captioned the heartwarming snaps with a sprout emoji alongside a message about the kind of grandmother she would be. She wrote, "Entering my hot kooky unhinged grandma era."

Fans and loved ones of the "Striptease" star happily supported the soon-to-be grandmother by flooding her post with numerous congratulatory messages. The list included celebrities like Gwyneth Paltrow, Lucy Liu, Maria Shriver, Rita Wilson, and Brad Goreski, among others.

Moore's daughters, Rumer and Tallulah Willis, also dropped sweet comments. The expectant mother wrote, "Love you, mama," while her younger sister penned, "screaming."

Additionally, Tallulah paid tribute to her mother and pregnant sister by sharing  the same snap of her sister's baby bump with the caption, "Entering my hot kooky unhinged auntie era."

Although the expectant parents are yet to announce when they became romantically entwined, People Magazine shared that the pair have been linked since early this year. The couple's baby announcement came days after the blended family came together.

Moore shared the rare family photo on Instagram in mid-December. The image featured the "Indecent Proposal" star posing with her three daughters as well as Willis, his wife Emma Heming Willis, and their two kids, Evelyn Penn and Mabel Ray.

The picture showed the supportive nature of Willis' family since the "Die Hard" actor announced he would be leaving his decades-spanning career. The shocking news came after the entertainer was diagnosed with aphasia, a language disorder that reportedly impacted "his cognitive abilities."

Earlier this year, The Blast reported that Moore celebrated her firstborn's 34th birthday with unique pictures. The "Inside Out" author did not follow the traditional theme of sharing throwback images but chose to upload her daughter's steamy snaps.

The sexy carousel included an image of Rumer enjoying a swim in her backyard pool. The birthday girl rocked a topless look as she stared into the camera with a sultry pose, looking like a goddess underneath the sun.

In another picture, the 34-year-old donned her birthday suit in a jacuzzi tub. The soon-to-be mother protected her assets by sitting with her knees pulled up to her chest. She posed with her mouth wide open while her ginger hair was tied into a messy bun.

Rumer's mother captioned the post with a lengthy-expression of love. "My sweet Rumer. Happy Birthday my angel!" The 60-year-old wrote nothing that her daughter would always be her "little girl."
