Taylor Swift & Karlie Kloss: Kaylor Romance Rumors, Revisited -- Part 2

Home / Stars / Taylor Swift & Karlie Kloss: Kaylor Romance Rumors, Revisited -- Part 2

By TheBlast Staff on August 1, 2020 at 10:56 AM EDT

Kaylor - otherwise known as the years-long/hands-on (but reportedly non-romantic) relationship between cover girl Karlie Kloss and literal legend Taylor Swift - is an absolute chaotic mess of a story to take in at one time.

So, if you missed the first part, there's a link below to catch up (unless you're ok with being completely lost).

For a free flyover: Kloss and Swift got swirled up in romance rumors soon after they met. They quickly denied all this noise and claimed the close friend card.

Kaylor shippers of any size still don't buy it. They believe the two had a more-than-friendship, and have a stack of receipts so fat that it's ~~slightly~~ actually scary.

What's new now: Swifty's surprise album "folklore" is legit swimming with symbols of the supermodel.

As a result, the GP's catching wind of what (might've) happened with them, and Karlie's playing problematic ping-pong on Instagram - but that's for another time.

Yesterday left off in late 2014 - right before everything fell into shambles, the first time.

The could-be twins made sure their dual-packaged presence was well known. After attending some Oscars-oriented events (and as discussed yesterday): Kaylor took a trip up the California coast in March, staying at a wildly secluded cabin in the Big Sur wilderness.

But again (they say), not in like, a couple-y way.

Swift had just then left behind her longtime home in Nashville for that big city life, hence her soon-coming "Welcome To New York" anthem. She shelled out about $15 million for her luxe living space - and could not be separated from leggy lookalike Karlie Kloss.

Lunches, dinners, shopping - all kinds of outings at almost any hour. Spring bled to summer, Taylor wrapped her "RED Tour" and came right back to Karlie's NYC-side.

One was seemingly always coming or going from the other's apartment for the rest of the year.

Swift, who'd only ever toyed with electro-synth sounds, finally dropped her first full-length pop album ("1989") in late October. The month prior, Taylor toured a Rolling Stone reporter around her new Tribeca penthouse, telling them that Karlie had kinda moved in too.

One impressionable outing that October was within days of the "1989" drop, when Kloss and Swift sat courtside at a New York Knicks game. Kaylor captivated cameras that night by bonding over beers - and leaving hand-in-hand.

Next on the great tour of galavanting: getting sorta snuggly at the AMAs, flying overseas for some sultry shenanigans, and coming back stateside to start a whole entire catastrophe called Kissgate.

About a month after the Knicks game - at the American Music Awards - Swift sat comfortably in Kloss' lap backstage. They eventually took their (actual) seats inside the star-studded ceremony.

Fellow front-rowers Lorde, Selena Gomez, and Sam Smith were all interacted with - but Kaylor clearly only had eyes for each other that November night. They kept their hands to themselves and basically said that they could not be bothered.

Less than ten days later: Karlie and Taylor were headed overseas for the 2014 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.

London was lacy/lovely/all of the "L" words.

Little did Kaylor know they'd be welcomed to New York with a PR nightmare - aka the clownery they'd get into after denying that something had allegedly happened and was eventually shown to have apparently/actually happened (but is technically still considered to be unconfirmed from a legal and journalistic standpoint).

Part three is on the way.

ALSO AHEAD:Looks served in London, Taylor and Karlie's Kissgate scandal, their very-revealing Vogue issue, and how it lines up with latest developments..."Bad Blood," Bleachella, etc. etc.
