Burke has always let her millions of fans into some aspects of her personal life, to their delight. The "Dancing with the Stars" alum gave yet another peek when she took the time to share some things for which she is thankful.

After uploading a picture of her dog, Ysabella, on a leash with "Grateful for…" written on it, the "Dancing Lessons" autobiographer noted that the first thing on her list was "Mother Nature."

Burke accompanied that admittance with a pic of her French bulldog overlooking the ocean and the golden skies beautified by the sun rising. An adorable selfie of herself and her mother, Sherri, in the third Story demonstrated her gratitude for her mom.

Fourth on the 38-year-old's list was Ysabella, whom she placed in her lap as she rocked dark workout clothes and a matching face cap. Her hair was loose and fell down her shoulders and back.

The 2005 San Francisco Latin Champion was also thankful for "Staying curious and learning every single day," as she revealed in a fifth Instagram Story. She accompanied this revelation with a picture of herself smiling as she flipped through the pages of Lori Deschene's "Tiny Buddha: Simple Wisdom for Life's Hard Questions."

Burke had one last thing to be thankful for, which, as she disclosed in a sixth Story, was "Life! [white heart emoji]." The snap for this showed the recently divorced star's dark silhouette standing on a railing taking in the beautiful view with both hands in the air.

The author had previously opened up emotionally when she told her followers how she intended to spoil her mom this Christmas. According to The Blast, the two-time 'DWTS' champion shared a video that showed her going through and printing out her family's throwback memories.

She is heard stating, "currently putting my mom's Christmas gift together. I don't know if you have pics," before zooming into a family portrait that showed her in a striped long-sleeved shirt. She looked untouchable with both her thumbs hooked into her jeans pockets.

At this point, the San Francisco native claimed, "I mean, if that doesn't say who I am, I'm not sure what does," then focused the camera on her younger sister, Nicole. Burke then explained that she was whispering because her mom was nearby, and she did not want her to know what was happening.

"It's been a journey this last year with so much change and shift. I had spent a lot of time thinking that I had to "figure it out" before I jump back into the dating world. I'm realizing I don't know if there is such a thing as "figuring it out" – I now know that life will be filled with curve balls, revelations and new beginnings all along the way."

After wondering if anyone had really "figured out" their life, Burke added that she was "committing to reentering the dating world with my good friend @pattistanger." The "Hell's Kitchen" VIP guest referenced her curiosity "to start this journey," promising to take her supporters on "the ride each week on @burkeinthegame. It will be interesting, to say the least."
