The card reads, "From our family to yours, and on behalf of our teams at The Archewell Foundation, Archewell Audio, and Archewell Productions, we wish you health, peace, and a very happy new year!"
"Best wishes, Prince Harry & Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex," was how they inscribed their full royal titles on the burgundy card, which was sent via an Archewell email (per Us Weekly).
Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Didn't Feature Their Children
Notably absent on the card were the couple's children, Archie, 3, and Lilibet Diana, 18 months.
It is unclear why The Sussexes' opted to remove them from the famous greeting card despite being featured in last year's piece drawing a ton of reactions from Royal fans.
In their Netflix Docuseries "Harry & Meghan," Harry revealed that while Archie reminds him of his wife, Markle, Lillibet reminds him of his late mother, Princess Diana.
"I think at the moment I see a lot of my wife in Archie, and I see a lot of my mum in Lili," he said. "She's very Spencer-like. She's got the same blue eyes … sort of like a golden reddish hair."
The prince also explained why his son reminds him of the "Suits" actress, saying, "She has the same compassion, the same empathy, she has the same confidence, she has this warmth about her."
Fans' Reaction To Archie And Lilibet's Absence
Upon noticing the absence of the Sussex children, several fans took to social media to express their emotions about the miss.
A heartbroken fan wrote, "they wrong sis. They know we wanna see the kids," with crying emojis in it.
Another fan noted, "It's beautiful. And I love that they don't need to bring out the kids to get likes."
A cheerful admirer of the Sussexes penned, "Happy holidays to you, [your] family, and the Archewell teams as well! Many blessings & prayers are sent your way for continued safety, happiness & success! May you continue your purposeful lives, undeterred by noises from empty barrels!"
Several observant fans are pointing out that the card seems to be for their "Archewell" franchise and not theirs, hence the kids' absence from it.
Other Royals Also Released Their Christmas Cards
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are not the only royals to get in on the holiday's tradition; three days before they did, Prince William and Princess Kate unveiled their Christmas family photo.
The Prince and Princess of Wales, via their Instagram handle, unveiled a photo of their family in matching ensembles of different shades of blue.
