More light has been shed on why Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decided to call it quits on their royal duties. Earlier this year, the couple divulged plans to tell it all in a documentary, which has finally been released, with a second volume dropping on December 15th.

The freshly released trailer for the final part of the couple's Netflix docuseries, shows the Duke of Sussex slamming the Palace for not protecting his family, and his wife, the Duchess, speaking on how she was being "fed to the wolves."

In the one-minute-long clip for the newly released trailer, the Duke and Duchess could be seen speaking on the ordeal they passed through, revealing a handful of information about what's to come in Volume 2 of their docuseries.

Markle, 41, disclosed that after the U.K. government pulled their security protection, they were left exposed, with everyone knowing their location. She said, "I wasn't being thrown to the wolves, I was being fed to the wolves."

On his part, Harry, 38, accused, presumably the royals and British media, of "institutional gaslighting." The Duke stated that "they were happy to lie to protect" his brother Prince William but "were never willing to tell the truth to protect" his family.

The trailer ends with Harry saying he's always felt like "it was a fight worth fighting for."

Prince Harry On The Hazy Memories Of His Mother Princess Diana

The Duke discussed his memories of his mother, the late Princess Diana, In the first part of his docuseries. Diana, "The People's Princess" as she's fondly called, died in a car accident in Paris on August 31st, 1997, when Harry was just a 13-year-old boy.

"I always remember her laugh, her cheeky laugh," he recounted, adding that the late Princess would always tell him he could get into trouble but shouldn't get caught.

When asked about his memories of Diana, the prince revealed that he has no recollection of her. "It's almost like, internally, I blocked them out," he narrated as he said, "The majority of my memories are being swarmed by paparazzi."

The Duke of Sussex has been playing by his mother's lessons, particularly in his romance with Markle. He discussed how members of the Royal family, especially men, may be pressured to marry "someone who will fit the mold" rather than someone they are destined to be with.

"My mum certainly made most of her decisions, if not all of them, from her heart," he said. "And I am my mother's son."

The first part of the docuseries also showed the couple disclosing the early days of their relationship and Markle's first meeting with Queen Elizabeth.

Harry revealed The Queen was the first senior member of the family his wife met, adding that she had no idea what the formalities consisted of, particularly noting what a great shock it was to her.

Markle commenting on it, recalled that she didn't even know she was going to meet the Queen, adding that it wasn't until moments before her husband revealed it that she got wind of the arrangement.

The "Suits" actress narrated how she thought it was a joke when questioned about her curtsy ability. She said, "I remember we were in the car and we were driving up and he's like 'You know how to curtsy right?' And I just thought it was a joke."

"Pleasure to meet you, your Majesty," she said as she staged a bow on the couch with Prince Harry observing her with an interesting expression.

Harry narrated how much of an impression the actress left on his family members, saying, "I remember my family first meeting her and being incredibly impressed. Some of them didn't quite know what to do with themselves. I think they were surprised. Maybe surprised that a ginger could land such a beautiful woman and such an intelligent woman."

Meghan Markle's Career Was A Cause For Concern

The Duke and Duchess revealed that Markle's career as an actress was a label the royals were not comfortable with. He said, "The fact that I was dating an American actress was probably what clouded their judgment more than anything else at the beginning."

"'Oh she's an American actress — this won't last,'" he added.

The Duchess affirmed that as their relationship grew, her career as an actress was the biggest problem the royals had with her. "There is a big idea of what that looks like, from the U.K. standpoint. Hollywood. It was just very easy for them to typecast that," she said.
