On the night of Friday, December 16, Sharon Osbourne was rushed to the hospital after suffering a medical emergency on set.
Although she previously struggled with COVID-19 earlier this year, the medical emergency does not appear to be related to her previous diagnosis.
Instead, it seems that Sharon suffered a medical emergency while filming an unnamed paranormal show in California.
Sharon Osbourne Rushed To Hospital While Filming Paranormal TV Show
According to reports, Sharon Osbourne was filming a paranormal TV show in California at the time she suffered the medical emergency and was quickly rushed to the hospital on the night of Friday, December 16.
The crew was reportedly filming at the Glen Tavern Inn in Santa Paula, California, which was once featured in an episode of Travel Channel’s “Ghost Adventures,” which stars paranormal investigator and author Zak Bagans.
A representative for the Ventura County Fire Department told TMZ that EMS workers responded to a “medical call” at the hotel around 6:30 PM local time on Friday night. It is unclear if they were filming at that time. Santa Paula Police Chief Don Aguilar later confirmed that Sharon was the patient but no updates about her health have been disclosed at this time.
The Glen Tavern Inn manager confirmed that an “emergency” occurred on Friday night but declined to comment on her health scare.
Sharon Osbourne Fights COVID-19 For The Second Time Earlier This Year
As The Blast previously reported, the TV personality caught COVID-19 for a second time back in May 2022, despite being vaccinated. At the time, she posted a photo to her Instagram page that featured her lying in bed without make-up on. She flashed a peace sign with one hand. Her other hand was on the bed beside her, an IV sticking out of her arm. In the caption, she simply wrote, “COVID.”
Many celebrities were quick to send her words of support. Selma Blair wrote “Drats,” later adding, “Drats. I am so sorry. Recovery recovery soon.” Actress Sharon Stone added, “Oh nooooo.” Amanda Kloots wrote, “Oh no Mrs!! Feel better soon!” while Piers Morgan and other famous friends showered the post with red heart emojis.
Ozzy Osbourne Has Also Experienced His Own Health Struggles
In an Instagram clip from “The Talk,” the 70-year-old London native also revealed that her daughter, Kelly, had contracted the virus. Her husband, heavy metal singer-songwriter Ozzy Osbourne had tested positive for COVID-19 a week before that.
Unfortunately, Ozzy has been experiencing his own health struggles. Over the summer, he had a “life-altering” back surgery. In her Instagram Stories in June, Sharon wrote, “Our family would like to express so much gratitude for the overwhelming amount of love and support leading up to Ozzy’s surgery,” adding, “Ozzy is doing well and on the road to recovery! Your love means the world to him.”
Ozzy had sustained serious injuries during a quad biking accident in 2003. In 2019, he experienced a fall at his home in L.A. that required 15 screws to be inserted into his spine. The fall left him with lingering nerve damage. Only one year later, in 2020, he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
Many fans and followers have taken to social media to wish Sharon a quick and speedy recovery in light of her recent medical emergency.
