'RHOBH' Star Joyce Giraud Reveals She Was Friends Only With Taylor Armstrong's Ex Before Joining The Show

Joyce Giraud appeared on an episode of the "Behind the Velvet Rope with David Yontef" podcast earlier this week, where the former "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" cast member opened up about her past role on the show and admitted that when it came to her ties with the cast at the time, she knew just one person.
Speaking to David, Joyce confirmed her only tie to the group was through Russell Armstrong, the late ex-husband of former cast memberTaylor Armstrong

"I was actually friends with Taylor's husband. May he rest in peace," Joyce revealed. "I remember we were at a mutual friend's dinner party at their home in Beverly Hills and he was there and he was asking my husband for some advice. He was like, what do you think about [reality television]?"
After appearing on the show years ago, Russell tragically committed suicide as he and Taylor, who he was accused of assaulting, put an end to their marriage.

According to Joyce, Russell said, "What do you think about this? Because there's this new reality show that they're offering Taylor. So what do you think?"
"So we were just, you know, normal talking and she was super sweet and she's, she's adorable," Joyce continued of Taylor, who was featured in a full-time role on the first three seasons of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" and continued to appear on the show part-time throughout the fourth, fifth and sixth seasons.

Joyce went on to say that when it comes to the former "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" cast member, she likes Taylor "very, very much."
"She was super sweet. We were just normal talking. That's the only thing I heard about the show before it came out, then when it came out, I wasn't really watching it. You know, I wasn't really a fan of the show and, but... I would always see Lisa from time to time because they were super close."

Joyce wasn't initially friends with Lisa Vanderpump, even though she was a regular at the home of her longtime friend Mohamed Hadid, the dad of models Gigi and Bella.
"We weren't friends. We had never, you know, we were introduced, just, 'Hi, nice to meet you.' But we weren't friends or anything," she revealed.
