The brand new cast member is none other than Drew Sidora! The 35-year-old black actress has most notably been featured on Disney Channel appearing on the TV show “That’s So Raven”, and for her movie appearance in “Step Up” (2006).

Long time fans have already sent their congratulations and are excited to see the actress join the cast on ‘Real Housewives Of Atlanta’.

Plus her previous singing career has helped establish her as a rising actress and as a prominent music artist!

In 2010, Sidora was just fresh off her time with “That’s So Raven” and was in the process of making a fair amount of music. She was asked about whether she viewed herself as an actress or as a music artist more, which prompted her to reply accordingly:

“I think now it’s pretty much both. People know that I am an actress obviously, but a lot of people are catching on that, “oh my gosh she really does sing. Her name is really Drew Sidora. She really does have an album coming out.” And now they are demanding it more.”

Although Drew wanted to pursue music more, her pursuit of musical stardom didn’t trump her love of acting. She quickly decided to focus more on her acting career and has had frequent roles in numerous movies since the aforementioned interview back in 2010.

Her last movie was in 2017 where she featured in “The Preacher’s Son”. But more recently she took up a role in Carl Weber’s “Influence” (2020) which was just announced in February.

Sidora did mention that fans regularly sought more music from her, but again, is focusing on her acting career.

It is a point of interest to note that Drew’s albums are only slightly referenced online with not much information given about them. Based on her previous interviews, fans have gathered that she was going to release a club album that centered around female empowerment:

“To all my ladies whether you are single, married, you’re young, or your older whatever it is, that is really what the record is going to be about. So I’m excited it’s a club record so if you like to dance it’s a great, great feel-good record and I’m really excited about it.“
