The professional dancer took her Instagram story to post a picture of herself in a contemplative mood.  Looking fresh-faced, she sat outdoors at a table and donned a cozy-looking hoodie with red, gray, and white prints. A book, presumably a journal, lay open on the table as she placed her hands with a pen on top of it.

She looked into the distance like she was thinking deeply about what to write as she created a poll in the image.

The question on the poll read, "How do you process your emotions?!" While the options included, Journal, Movement, Meditate and Run Away (Numb). While her answer might be journaling, the model added to that in the next slide with a picture of herself and her dog on a walk.

As she sat on the bench holding her dog, who had on black walking gear, the caption read, "of course being with Ysabella and taking her for long walks also helps… [white heart emoji]."

Her pet clearly means a lot to her, which explains why the 38-year-old was hurt about the possible trial with her ex-husband over Ysabella. The Blast shared that although matters of their respective estates had been settled, a case of custody for the dog would have her appearing in court one more time.

Speaking on her podcast "Burke in the Game," the star declared that she would not let go without a fight because she considered Ysabella, her daughter. As the TV star recalled how the separation was finalized during the opening night of the "DWTS" show, she said:

"It's still not over because we have to maybe go to trial — well, we are going to go to trial, unless [Lawrence] all of the sudden calls it off. That will happen in January. I'm still just really hurt by the whole situation."

The podcast host emotionally noted that she found it hard to imagine life without her dog, and because of the ordeal, she was able to be more aware and present during the season.

This acceptance also taught her to surrender to fate, whatever it might bring - good, bad, or ugly. And that while it was scary in reality, it was eye-opening. It might seem strange that they did not have any issues figuring out their other properties, which might be partly due to the prenuptial agreement signed by the pair before they married in 2019.

According to the publication, it ensured that Burke secured her royalties and earnings from the show and from "QVC," while the 42-year-old would be allowed the same.

The case was a sensitive one because the court had initially stayed away from deciding who would have custody of their pet because of its importance to the mental health of the TV host during the initial proceedings.

After calling it quits with Mattew Lawrence, the "Dancing with the Stars" alum opened up to fans about part of her reason for closing up after the heartbreak, as per The Blast

In an Instagram update, the picture posted showed her posing with her hands outstretched on a stone head with a nature-filled background making for a beautiful image.

She started the caption by noting how much of a journey that year had been and that she had taken the time to think things through before jumping back into the dating pool.

The star mentioned that all she went through helped her realize that there might not be anything like "figuring it out" and that there would be many revelations, changes, and new beginnings.
