Shallcross came extremely close to capturing Rachel Recchia's heart on the latest season of "The Bachelorette." The 26-year-old nearly sealed the deal and put a ring on it, but ultimately nabbed the third-place spot.

Heartbreak has evolved into a sense of possibility for Shallcross as he gears up for Bachelor Nation to find out whether he finally makes it to the altar!

Shallcross was announced as the lead for the 27th season of "The Bachelor" after he and Recchia were unable to move past her concerns regarding his age and whether he was; Recchia felt concerned with the possibility her beau, who was 25 at the time of filming, wouldn't be ready for an engagement.

Age is clearly nothing but a number in Shallcross' mind judging by the new trailer for his upcoming 'Bachelor' season! The trailer began making the rounds on social media earlier today, with Shallcross posting a reel of the trailer on his Instagram.

In the 30-second trailer soundtracked by Lil Nas X's "THAT'S WHAT I WANT" it is abundantly clear Shallcross has always been ready and wants to find true love!

The upcoming 'Bachelor' lead could not disagree more with his ex's concern over whether his age played a part in his readiness to get engaged. He openly expressed his feelings in the press following his self-elimination from the show.

"She was four months older [than me]," Shallcross expressed to Jennifer Hudson during an appearance on her talk show, "Well I was 25 at the time we had that conversation. So what I have to say is I'm 26 now, so I'm ready." (per Us Weekly)

Recchia, for her part, believed Tino Franco was ready to say "I do" at the conclusion of the show. Unfortunately, the pair parted following the revelation Franco had cheated on her.

"The Bachelor" has steadily remained trending on Twitter on Thursday afternoon following the trailer's circulation on social media.

A Twitter user did not mince words with their reaction! In the thread posted by the official Bachelor Nation Twitter account, a fan wrote, "he always looks like he is smelling the air. I cant take him serious."

Reactions were mixed in the comment section of Shallcross' Instagram post. While many of Shallcross' followers offered their support, a few were transparent in sharing their decisions not to tune in to the upcoming season.

"Nah I'm not watching this season," one of Shallcross' Instagram followers wrote. "Not because of Zack, but because I'm just so sick of producers manipulating everything. Y'all have ruined the show."

"I've never been so uninterested," a disinterested follower commented.

Another member of Bachelor Nation was not ready to embrace any potential cringe-worthy moments featured in the season.
