Genevieve Parisi Addresses Hateful Comments From Trolls

Genevieve Parisi just concluded her time on "Bachelor In Paradise,"where she and Aaron Clancy were one of the most talked about relationships -- some fans even referred to them as toxic.

After the season concluded, Parisi is speaking out about some of the hateful comments she has been getting.

Genevieve Parisi recently took to Instagram to share a screenshot of several messages from an online troll she received.

"Sorry ugly get more filters maybe and get off the TV dude realty looks terrible on you," the user wrote in one of the first messages of the thread.

"You're a hypocrite and everyone has told you so many times," another one of the messages read.

"You're a joke of a woman and I hope to see you cry on the next episode," one of the last DMs said.

The reality television star shared the comments to her Instagram Story before speaking out about them. "I wanted to share that in the hopes of changing at least one person's mind from sending a hate message to a stranger," she began to write. "Those messages used to hurt me so bad, I would take everything personally and start questioning and judging myself."

“Now it usually makes me laugh because some of the messages are so absurd," she continued. "And when you think about it, it’s really sad how unhappy those people are to get to that point. So i feel pretty lucky.”

Parisi concluded by thanking her fans for their support, "Anyways, thanks for listening and I appreciate all you kindhearted people & your messages."

Genevieve Parisi and Aaron Clancy were considered one of the strongest couples on this season of “Bachelor In Paradise,” until Tuesday, November 1’s episode when the two had an explosive fight.

Although the two made up, it wasn’t long before they had yet another fight, and fans began calling Aaron a “gaslighter”.

Towards the end of “Paradise,” rumors began circulating that Aaron was just using Genevieve as he had not one, but two girlfriends back home. During the final episodes of the reality show, Aaron broke up with Genevieve, shocking not only Genevieve, but Bachelor Nation.

After the show ended, the 27-year-old bartender went onto the “The Ben and Ashley I: Almost Famous” podcast, where she told hosts, Ben Higgins and Ashley Iaconetti, that she “fell in love with the wrong person.”

“I think you can fall in love with the wrong person, for sure, and I think that I just didn’t fall in love with the right person for me,” Genevieve admitted. “I was falling in love with him before our first argument… I think I was falling in love before I was realizing all the problems.”

When looking back at one of their first fights, Genevieve acknowledged that she and Aaron “weren’t communicating well” while they were on the beach. “I felt like whatever I was saying, it wasn’t being received or heard,” the 27-year-old told the hosts.

Ben and Ashley asked Genevieve if she was in love or just in lust with Aaron, which is when Genevieve shared, “Looking back, I don’t know. It’s hard looking back to believe that I was in love, to be honest. I don’t know. I don’t know.”
