Jeremy Renner’s ex-wife Sonny Pacheco is pleading with the court to force the actor to take a drug test out of concern for their young daughter’s well-being.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Sonny is back in court after the actor recently asked for his child support payments to be cut from $30k to $11k.

In newly filed documents, Sonny is asking the court to reschedule the hearing on the child support issues. She wants to be able to grill Jeremy and his business manager under oath during depositions before a decision is made.

In the past, Sonny has accused Jeremy of having substance abuse issues. Jeremy has denied the allegations and said he took drug tests which came back negative. In the new court docs, Sonny says she wants to see those drug test results from February 12 until now.

Further, she wants Jeremy to “undergo an immediate drug test conducted and supervised by an independent laboratory.” She says Jeremy has a “long history of alcohol and drug abuse which has persisted since before the parties’ marriage, through divorce and post-judgment.”

She mentions a 2019 incident where Jeremy “put a gun in his mouth, threatened to kill himself, and fired the gun into the ceiling while the parties minor daughter slept in a nearby bedroom.”

In regard to support, Sonny says Jeremy owes her over $500,000 in child support. She claims to be without funds to pay her attorneys or even fix her plumbing and toilet problem.

Sonny accuses Jeremy of being reckless when he has custody of Ava. She wants the court to order him to follow proper social distancing during the pandemic and take a COVID test. She claims he has not been following the safety guidelines and allowed “several young women” to be around their daughter at his Reno home without wearing masks.

The docs read, “it appears that Respondent is not following pandemic safety guidelines, including while Ava is in his custody, particularly in his Reno home. The evidence strongly suggests that Respondent has numerous people in his Reno house without wearing masks. The participants include several young women.”

Jeremy fired back at Sonny’s request demanding the court shut her down. In his response, the actor accuses his ex-wife of creating a false narrative that he has a drug problem. He says he has voluntarily agreed to drug testing and the results are forwarded to their custody coordinator. The actor says the results show he is not a substance abuser. He calls her ex parte improper and wants it denied.

His response reads, “there is absolutely no basis for this Court to grant the requested relief with respect to a drug test. Likewise, there is no basis for this Court to order Respondent to take a Covid test when there is no evidentiary basis that he has, or has been exposed to Covid.

A court hearing has been scheduled for August 20.

Back in 2014, Jeremy and Sonny split after 10 months of marriage. They share a daughter named Ava. The couple has been in and out of court for years fighting over custody and support.

Recently, the actor went to the court pleading for his child support paymentshttps://people.com/movies/jeremy-renner-accuses-ex-wife-of-misappropriating-almost-50000-in-daughters-trust-fund-for-personal-use/ to be slashed. He argued his income had drastically decreased this year, especially since he wrapped up his role in “The Avengers.” Jeremy said the pandemic caused a lot of his work to dry up and left him without a ton of income.

At the moment, Jeremy is paying his ex-wife $30,000 a month in support for Ava. He accused his ex of using the money as a “slush fund” to support her lifestyle. He asked the court to allow his business managers to have control over Ava’s support.

Jeremy demanded the court slash the child support amount from $30k to $11k. A judge has yet to rule.

Sonny has previously accused Jeremy of abusing their 6-year-old daughter and being mentally unstable. Jeremy has accused Sonny of making the false accusations in an attempt to tarnish his name and gain custody. He pointed out that Child Services cleared him of all the allegations.

Last year, Sonny accused Jeremy of being high on cocaine and texting her he was going to kill himself. She used the text in an attempt to strip Jeremy of custody. The actor denied having substance abuse issues and said he was taking drug tests frequently.

Jeremy’s rep released a statement at the time, “The well-being of his daughter Ava has always been and continues to be the primary focus for Jeremy. This is a matter for the court to decide. It's important to note the dramatizations made in Sonni's declaration are a one-sided account made with a specific goal in mind."
