Kelly Clarkson’s Estranged Husband Brandon Blackstock Files Response To Divorce, Agrees With Joint Custody

Kelly Clarkson’s soon-to-be ex-husband Brandon Blackstock responded to the singer’s divorce and they seem to be on the same page with everything.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Brandon has filed his response to Kelly’s divorce petition.
As The Blast first reported, Kelly filed for divorce from Brandon on June 4 in Los Angeles Court. In her petition, she listed the date of marriage as of October 20, 2013, but said the date of separation was “To Be Determined.”
Kelly is seeking joint legal and physical custody of their two kids, 5-year-old River Rose and 4-year-old Remington Alexander. In her petition, Kelly asked the court to deny any request for spousal support. She asked the court to enforce their prenuptial agreement which was signed before their marriage.

In his response filed by powerhouse celebrity attorney Samantha Spector, Brandon lists the same TBD for the date of separation. He also believes they should share joint physical and legal custody of their 2 kids.
In regard to support, Brandon didn’t check the box to terminate support but checked the box “other” and listed “reserved.” It appears they will work out that issue together.
Sources close to the couple were shocked by the divorce announcement. The two got hitched in 2013 and share two children together.

Sources told The Blast that there was no specific incident regarding their decision to split, as in no one cheated, and the relationship just ran its course.
Since the split, Kelly has started work again on her hit NBC talk show "The Kelly Clarkson Show". Last month, the entertainer won her first Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Talk Show Host. Kelly wrote on social media, "OH MY GOSH!!!!!! What is happening?!!!! This is amazing!!! Thank y’all so much!!! And a MAJOR thank you to my entire crew that really is the reason I won!!! I can’t wait to celebrate with our whole crew when humans can congregate again!! This calls for a PARTY!!!!>'
