Suspended "Good Morning America" hosts, T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach, have cooled down their unearthed romance as the network looks into their conduct in the wake of the affair becoming public.
According to reports, the pair chose to do so because being caught hanging out together would not be favorable for them at this time.
The couple first made an effort to downplay the affair in the early days after it became public, but they are now only concerned with preserving their professional reputations. Since their scandalous affair got public, Holmes and Robach have both ended their relationships with their partners.

Amy Robach And T.J. Holmes 'Wouldn't Dare Be Caught Together Now'
According to the Daily Mail, Holmes and Robach have cooled off communication since they were taken off hosting "GM3" and suspended "indefinitely" from the network shortly after picture and video evidence emerged that they were having an affair while being married to other partners.
Currently, the daytime program showrunners are conducting an internal review of the two hosts to make a decision about their future with the network.
Per the publication, a source noted that the uncertainty brought on by their jobs hanging in the balance played a huge factor in their decision not to stay away from each other.
"'They wouldn't dare be caught together now, not while ABC is making a decision," the Insider said about the embattled duo. "Their marriages are over, but they have children to think about, and they don't want to jeopardize their futures with the network any more than they already have.'
T.J. Holmes And Amy Robach Tried To Downplay The Affair
Before their suspension, Holmes and Robach had tried to downplay the gravity of their affair, which became public news after pictures of them engaging in PDA on a trip made the headlines.
For one, Holmes appeared alongside Robach on the Friday of the week when the news broke out. The pair looked unbothered about the backlash from their affair as they exchanged awkward giggles during different segments of the "GMA3" show.
Robach was also spotted on that day packing out of her New York City residence where she lived with her estranged husband, Andrew Shue.
At the time, she even spoke with reporters who had followed her, seemingly giving an "all-is-well" aura.
"It's been great. I've gotten a lot of support," Robach told reporters about her feelings in the wake of the scandal, per Daily Mail. "And, you know, I appreciate everything, and I'm happy to be going to work."
ABC Suspended The Duo After The Network Received Backlash
While it appeared that the co-stars had resolved to take the scandal in stride, it sparked a P.R. nightmare for ABC as viewers from all angles lashed out at the network for being complacent about the affair.
This might have prompted ABC to suspend Holmes and Robach and, by extension, clamp down on office speculation and gossip that had risen over the ongoing matter.
"I understand that the continuing coverage can be distracting from the incredibly important work our team does here at ABC News," ABC News President Kim Godwin stated in an internal memo, per Daily Mail.
She added, "Amy and T.J. will remain off-air pending the completion of an internal review, and there will be a rotation of anchors at GMA3 for the time being."
T.J. Holmes And Amy Robach's History With ABC
Following the scandal making headlines, Robach and Holmes both separated from their respective partners. The former was married to attorney Marilee Fiebig while the latter was married to actor Andrew Shue,
At the moment, Holmes and Robach seem to be doing all they can to salvage what is left of their career, as the affair has deeply smeared their standing in the eyes of the viewers.
Both Holmes and Robach were a core part of the GMA team who landed an Emmy for Outstanding Morning Program in 2015 and were highly rated before the scandal.
In the meantime, Holmes and Robach will remain suspended until ABC showrunners decide to either completely terminate the duo's contract or reassign them to another part of the network.
