Lili Reinhart is currently filming the final season of Riverdale and she is without a doubt in her feelings about the show's end.
Lili Reinhart Is A Crying Mess
The actress took to Instagram last night to share with her followers that she is not doing well while filming the seventh and final season of a show that defined her twenties “Shed a few tears on my way home from work tonight,” she begins her emotional message.
“It's overwhelming to think that an end is coming to our crazy little show,” she reminisces about the popular CW/Netflix show. “I'm so grateful to be where I am today. I'm thankful for Riverdale, for our fans, for my dear Betty, and for the family I've made through this experience. That's all, goodnight.”
Reinhart portrays blonde Betty Cooper whose character has had her own share of ups and down and she admits she has loved every minute of it.
Lili Reinhart Loves Acting
Reinhart believes that the profession she chose is the best one for her. She has always loved acting and puts her all into characters like Betty. “When I was growing up, I would put on shows for my family in our living room, and then I started auditioning for roles in New York and Los Angeles when I was 12,” she recalls.
“I did an audition for Riverdale when I was 19, that my mum recorded in our house in Ohio, but they turned me down. I moved to LA two months later, and my manager told me that they still hadn't found someone for the lead, so I went back to the casting director and got the role after a few more auditions.” She even credits the show with ending “the worse depression I had ever experienced.”
Lili Reinhart Will Keep Busy After ‘Riverdale’
The actress has already used her smarts and her clout to set up her life after the popular show ends; she founded her own production company with “exciting” projects in the works. “We are developing some exciting projects with new roles for me. When I started playing more challenging characters, I feel like I am building more confidence as an actress. I want to bring more unique perspectives to the film industry,” she admits.
Reinhart won the Women in Film Max Mara Face of the Future award last month, in her speech she says, “I think that is the goal moving forward – we want to embrace women and include them as much as possible. I feel incredibly lucky that I was able to have my own production (and carry this out).”
Lili Reinhart’s Next Move Is For Women
Riverdale’s final season is set to return in mid-2023, no specific date is attached but fans are on the edge of their seat to see the antics continue to play out and Reinhart, she is waiting to fill more scenes to get a better idea of where her character’s life is headed.
Outside of the show, Reinhart is working hard! “I think being in the industry means having a lot of people look up to you. I feel that I've taken the responsibility to spread good messages and call out toxicity in this industry that has been prevalent since day one.”
She continues, “I am going to try and keep going with that advocacy and I will continue to speak out on the issues I'm called to speak out about.”
