The actor who starred in the 1997 film "George of the Jungle" revealed he turned down Disney's offer for a sequel because they didn't want to pay him accordingly.

The sequel was eventually made, but it was released exclusively on video. Thomas Haden Church, John Cleese, and Keith Scott all returned, while Christopher Showerman replaced Fraser as George and Julie Benz replaced Leslie Mann as "Ursula."

"I think George got a remake, and they built a joke into it that the studio was too cheap to hire me, which wasn't inaccurate," Fraser told Entertainment Weekly.

He also disclosed he had to go through a gruesome diet to attain his chiseled figure on "George of the Jungle." Fraser emphasized the significance of his physique for the film by stating that "the wardrobe was there was no wardrobe."
