Halle Berry was just trying to wish her fans a happy 4th of July and give some options for ways to continue fighting for independence during these turbulent times in society, but many protesters in the Black Lives Matter movement didn't care for the message and scoffed at her showing any pride for American independence.

The "Swordfish" star posted the sexy shot on Saturday as Americans got ready to kick off their BBQ's and fireworks shows while celebrating the holiday.

"Happy #IndependenceDay y’all!! Wishing a safe and restful time to everyone and their families," Halle wrote to her 6.3 million fans on Instagram.

While wearing a multi-patterned bikini and popping a squat on some beautiful beach rocks, Halle bent over to give her fans an eyeful of all her amazing curves and deliver the message:

"This year, we have re-defined what it means to be patriotic. Let’s continue to fight for true independence for ALL this #IndependenceDay - check stories for ways to use your voice, advocate for those who need our help and create lasting and actionable change in your community. Cheers!"

Instead of the avalanche of praise that Halle Berry's posts usually generate, many fans took to her comments displeased over her patriotism on 4th of July.

"We not celebrating 4th of July because there is freedom does not exist for ALL of us.. don’t forget BLM sis.." one person wrote.

"Your black ancestors are asking what freedom they had?" another comment read.

"Justice for Breonna Taylor," a third person commented.

The only positive comment that rose to the top of Halle's feed was from fellow star Naomi Campbell, who simply proclaimed Halle to be a "beauty," but thankfully didn't get political about her message.

Halle may have a different approach or look on the world, but she has addressed the current struggle of the Black Lives Matter movement and addressed the senseless killings of African-Americans by police. She also recently shared a message about processing what is going on, and how she uses meditation to find peace within herself during turbulent times.

"I want to say this unequivocally, because I’m sure you’ve already heard it - It’s ok to not be ok right now. While it’s imperative to stand up and to let your voice be heard, it is also ok to laugh, to smile, to hug and to self-soothe," Halle wrote while showing herself in a meditative state.

She continued:

"My meditative practice is my way to remain strong and centered for myself as well as my children when things are overwhelming. I hope that everyone will take a moment today to breathe - you deserve it."
