Actress and comedienne, Mindy Kaling, recently aired her current thoughts about her hit comedy series "The Office."
The multi-hyphenate who starred in the show across eight seasons said that the sitcom would have offended this generation of viewers and that all the characters would have come under the axe of cancel culture.
She also shared insight into why the show has remained popular despite its matured content and kicked against the idea of introducing the sitcom to her two kids, Katherine, 4, and Spencer, 2.
Kaling had previously discussed her dating life on "The Drew Barrymore Show," where she shared that she does not plan on reigniting her past relationship with her "The Office" costar B.J Novak.

Mindy Kaling Says 'Tastes Have Changed'
Speaking on "Good Morning America," Kaling discussed starring in the award-winning series "The Office" and its recent addition to Peacock's catalog, which has garnered the series "a whole new generation of fans."
The sitcom, which centered on workplace drama, debuted on NBC in 2005 and spanned nine seasons, reaching its finale in 2013. Apart from Kaling, it starred other actors like Steve Carell, Jenna Fischer, John Krasinki, Leslie David Baker, and Rainn Wilson.
While it has since turned into a cult classic, Kaling said that the show would be "so inappropriate" for this generation of viewers.
The "Sex Lives of College Girls" said, per HuffPost, "Tastes have changed, and honestly, what offends people has changed so much now. I think that actually is one of the reasons the show is popular because people feel like there's something kind of fearless about it or taboo that it talks about on the show.
She Doesn't Want Her Kids To Watch The Show
Some of the things "The Mindy Project" star seemed to reference was the use of anecdotes that were racist and body shaming in nature to make jokes during the show.
While such narratives are no longer an acceptable standard in today's filmmaking, the series has continued to gain traction as one of the viewers' favorites both on Netflix and on Peacock.
Perhaps, this prompted Kaling to share that her kids, Katherine, 4, and Spencer, 2, might want to check out the sitcom for themselves when they're teenagers, although she has no plans to introduce them to it.
She said, "It seems like a 15-year-old boy is the biggest fan of 'The Office' right now."
"The Office" shot Kaling into stardom as not only a versatile actress but also as a great screenwriter as she penned some episodes in the show during its time on air.
Mindy Kaling On Her 'The Office' Character
As for what her "The Office" character, Kelly Kapoor, would be doing today, Kaling said she would have quit her customer service representative role to take on a flashier career path.
The mother of two said, "I think she would have quit Dunder Mifflin to become an influencer, and then probably be canceled, almost immediately. Actually, most of the characters on that show would be canceled by now."
Kaling starred in the role from seasons one to eight and was one of the fans' favorites. Following her departure from the show at the end of the season eight finale, the showrunners wrote out her part with the narrative that Kelly had quit Dunder Mifflin to get married and move to Ohio.
Mindy Kaling Discusses Her Love Life
Since starring in "The Office," Kaling has gone on to be an accomplished screenwriter, creating several series like "Never Have I Ever" and "The Sex Lives of College Girls."
As for her dating life, not much is known apart from her off-and-on relationship with her then-costar Novak. She recently told Drew Barrymore during an appearance on her eponymous show that she had no plans to get back with him.
"He is a wonderful friend, and he is the godparent of both my kids, and he loves children, and they're so attached to him," she told her host on Tuesday, per People.
She added, "He's really part of our family, but we've known each other for a long, long time, and I think anyone who's been friends with someone for 18, 19 years and at one point dated and now doesn't, they maybe understand this. You have exes that you wouldn't necessarily marry now."
