Ashley Tisdale loves to dance – especially in places where the world can watch.
The 34-year-old actress became quite the TikTok star soon after joining in January. Her up-tempo shimmies usually involve her favorite pair of shredded denim shorts, and Tuesday’s clip was no exception.
Maxim has mentioned Tisdale many times amongst the world’s sexiest women in their “Hot 100” list – needless to say, she’s very far removed from the ole Disney days.

The June 23rd TikTok was set at Tisdale’s favorite place: the crystal clear pool at her California home. She shares the almost-always sunny oasis with musician Chris French, her husband of six years.
“Will I ever wear normal clothes again…” she asked in the caption.
Her dance to Doja Cat’s “Freak” was very well-received.

A common theme in the comments? Current-day comparisons to Sharpay Evans, her high-maintenance “High School Musical” character:

“sharpay been real quiet since you posted this ?” – via @ariahnahudson
“i binged watched all of the high school musical movies and sharpay’s fabulous adventure yesterday!!! ❤️” – via @bassisbetterthanguitar
Sharpay has a lot of fans, but Tisdale’s still the biggest. Her March 16th dance to HSM’s “We’re All In This Together” quickly became her most-viewed TikTok post and currently sitts at over 30 million views.
Tisdale’s “High School Musical” throwback came just as quarantine was kicking off. It was also right before the cast reunited on “The Disney Family Singalong.”
She’s dropped many jaws in her denim shorts since then, but still finds ways to poke fun at herself.
The New Jersey native said she couldn’t get her famous frayed shorts buttoned last month. Or in her words: “RIP to my body before quarantine.”
The only problem was that most of her 12.6 million Instagram followers couldn’t find a flaw.
She’s also made a triumphant return to music. On May 29th, the “Amateur Night” actress dropped the positive-outlook anthem “Lemons” (embedded below).
“Wow I can’t believe a year ago @symptoms was released. Still to date the most personal and vulnerable project [she’s] ever done. I’m so proud of this album and sharing my journey with mental health. It opened up a conversation that I get to have with friends and fans and hopefully made some people feel less alone.”
“I know in these times we can struggle with these feelings especially being quarantined at home but put some music on dance like no ones watching and feel the comfort that we’re all in this together and we will get through this! Love you all.”
