Chris Hemsworth is having the time of his life!
The actor seemed in great spirits as he enjoyed a fun family dinner with his wife, Elsa Pataky, and their three kids — India, Sasha, and Tristan — over the weekend. He had shared a carousel of videos, including one that featured him dancing during the night out with friends and family at a teppanyaki restaurant to Instagram.
Chris Hemsworth Soaks In Quality Time With Loved Ones
In Hemsworth's first clip, one chef dressed in a black and red outfit and playful glasses bursts out a dance move before the camera pans to the actor who says, "He's not really gonna cook that food, is he?" before losing the smile on his face. When the "Thor" star noticed a second similarly dressed chef roll out a trolley filled with ingredients, he excitedly added, "yes, he is."
A swipe to the left unveiled a 23-second clip that showed an off-camera chef throwing food at Hemsworth, who caught it with his mouth. After the third catch, the 39-year-old stood up, blew some kisses, and took a bow, to the entertainment of his loved ones.
Unfortunately, that moment of pride resulted in him not catching the next piece of food that a chef threw at him. Hemsworth was undeterred by that snag as he and the group gave their best dance moves in the last clip.
Although his kids stood on their chairs as they danced to PSY's "Gangnam Style," the "Star Trek" actor was content bobbing his head and raising his hands while seated. He wore a white shirt, a silver chain, a hand bracelet, and a face cap for the eventful dinner. For his caption, the "Snow White and the Huntsman" star penned:
"Just a nice quiet dinner with the family..who would've thought a casual meal would've turned into a full blown festival!"
"The greatest performance yet," photographer Chris Burkard commented. A fan claimed, "Hibachi is the ultimate way to combine food and entertainment." A second fan joked, "I see where your kids get their wild spirit from!!" And a third admitted, "This guy is the best one! We have eaten there a few times, and he is definitely the best entertainer."
Other fans were just glad that Hemsworth was finding joy elsewhere, as The Blast reported that he would be taking a break from acting to spend more quality time with his family. The decision came after the actor learned he was at risk of getting Alzheimer's disease while filming the Disney+ docuseries, "Limitless." Recalling the events that led to that moment of truth, the father-of-three stated:
"They took all my bloodwork and did a bunch of tests, and the plan was to on-camera tell me all the results and then talk about how you can improve this and that."
However, it was not until his final appearance on the series— on an episode centered on "death and facing your own mortality," that the actor realized the enormity of the news. That dawning of light "really triggered something" in him to desire some time off work.
The actor revealed that since he finished filming the show, he has been finishing "the things" he had already signed contracts for. Aside from that, Hemsworth's only plans include having a "good chunk of time off" to connect with his wife and their children more.
The Australian Actor Gets An Amazing Cake From His Children
Hemsworth experienced an unforgettable birthday when he turned 39 on August 11, thanks to his children's support. The Blast shared that the young ones gifted the Heathmont College alum an unusual celebratory cake, which they created from scratch from ingredients in their freezer.
The Marvel star showed fans the cake, decorated with candles, in an Instagram reel. India, Tristan, and Sasha are heard singing the birthday song in the background while their dad asks, "how long did it take to make this cake?" Hemsworth clearly loved the thoughtful gift as he gushed in his caption:
"Thanks for all the birthday love! And this tremendous cake that my kids made by scooping all the leftover ice cream out of the freezer onto a plate. #bestcakeever."
The confectionary idea wowed his 56 million followers, with many highlighting their plans to "use this idea for a cake in the future."
