Instagram Trashes 'Environmentalist' Leonardo DiCaprio For Hosting GF Camila Morrone's Birthday Party On Yacht

Leonardo DiCaprio set ultimate boyfriend goals for everyone as he celebrated his girlfriend, model and actress Camila Morrone's birthday with a star-studded party on a yacht. Or so he'd like to believe, although Instagram is having none of it. The 45-year-old actor and environmentalist was smoked by Instagram users for hosting the 23rd birthday party on a yacht, and making it a star-studded event despite the social distancing norms in place during the Coronavirus pandemic. Clearly, Caprio is not earning any goodwill, except Morrones'.

According to Page Six, the party was held at a 43-meter Leight Star Super Yacht that was docked at Marina Del Ray in LA. It sailed out towards Malibu at 11 in the morning and returned by 4:30 in the evening. Caprio was spotted wearing a mask, though Instagram ably pointed out that it was 'below his nose'. Meanwhile, the host of attendees included actress Nina Dobrev and her boyfriend, Olympic snowboarder Shaun White, while actors Kevin Connolly and Lukas Haas were also seen jiving.

Like Caprio, the attendees were also in Western attire, sporting cowboy hats and looking more like they were on a Crocodile Dundee than a yacht. Camila Morrone wore a straw hat and no mask, also baring cleavage in a navy blue dress. Caprio wore a more relaxed outfit with his hat with jeans, a zip-up hoodie, and Nike sneakers. Instagram trolls could not decide what they hated the most, the fact that they were partying and not social distancing, or the age gap between them...

The first thing Instagrammers caught and had to comment upon was that for an environmentalist, 'Caprio sure spend a lot of time on yachts'. Yet another troll asked Caprio, 'don't yachts use oil?'. For others, partying during Coronavirus was far more upsetting with one Instagram user writing in, "I guess A-listers are immune from coronavirus when they gather in large groups? Must be nice as we frontline workers can't go home on a regular basis..." Flouting social distancing does not become celebrities, does it?

The pet grouse that most have against the relationship between Camila Morrone and Leonardo DiCaprio is that 23-year age difference. Morrone even addressed it on her Instagram stories once, saying, "I just read some of the comments on my Instagram and my God, people are so mean and like, full of anger with people that they know nothing about..." And yet, people are still commenting, snarkily, with things like, "My dad was the same age, when I was 23" and "Happy Father's Day, Leo". Leo doesn't seem to care though, and party goes on...
