Josh Richards & Nessa Barrett Rock Instagram With Breakup Announcement

Josh Richards, long time social media influencer and TikTok star, just announced that his relationship with TikTok star Nessa Barrett is officially over. The young couple has been together since October 2019, but posted a video on YouTube and TikTok announcing that they had split less than 24 hours ago. (At the time of this article)

Josh commented with Nessa sitting next to him saying: "We realized we needed to mature and we needed to grow as people [...] We were in a very serious relationship but almost not ready for as serious as it was…”

Nessa expressed similar feelings to Josh’s by continuing the announcement in the video saying: “I think we both started two different chapters in our life that's gonna be super important.”

The couple has already received thousands of comments across varying social platforms with several news outlets and accounts sharing details about the tragic breakup.

Even while breaking the news after what is assumed to come after lengthy conversations between the two of them, the two were slightly teary eyed.

Things got even more emotional after Josh announced that they would stay friends.

Josh continued by saying they had decided to split on good terms, and that he “will always be there for her”.

"We just felt like you guys deserve to know we also didn't want lies or rumors being spread because the last thing I want personally is any of you guys to go and spread any hate because she is an amazing girl and I will always care about her, I will always be there for her."

This alone nearly brought tears to Nessa’s eyes.

Although many have stated that it isn’t a good idea to remain in contact with your ex’s (with even people like Demi Lovato completely cutting off contact with people she’s dated & broke up with) Josh has stressed that having a “healthy breakup” is important to them.

“On social media people just demonstrate that when you end a relationship you have to say like f--k you to the other person or you have to end up hating the other person and you gotta block them on everything [...] That's not a healthy breakup.”

These social celebrities aren’t the only ones who are calling it quits in 2020 however, in fact, Kelly Clarkson just announced at the beginning of June that she has filed for divorce with Brandon Blackstock. (They had previously been together for 7 years!)

While some are enjoying the perks of loving-relationship (like Katy Perry & Orlando Bloom for example) others are coming to the sudden realization that a “serious relationship” may not be something they’re ready for. Fans are already crossing their fingers that Josh and Nessa will get back together.
