"I think she probably would have quit Dunder Mifflin to be an influencer and then probably been canceled almost immediately," she said. "So that's what I would see for her. Actually, most of the characters on that show probably would be canceled by now."

When asked about her plans to introduce her children, Katherine Swati, 4, and Spencer Avu, 2, to the hit show, Kaling said, "maybe never" with a giggle.

"That show is so inappropriate. We always talk about the writers, I'm still in touch with now, we talk about so much of that show we probably couldn't make now," she said. "Tastes have changed and honestly what offends people has changed so much now and so I think that's actually one of the reasons the show is popular because people feel like there is something kind of fearless about it or taboo that it talks about on the show."

As far as if her children will watch the show one day, she said, "I think when they're teenagers they'll probably want to."
